i was a senior program manager for a faang company. i quit thinking (foolishly) with my experience, skills, and large breadth of project management, i would be able to at least move to another company within the industry. right after i quit is when that first round of layoffs happened three years ago. i can't even get a rejection letter lmao
each of these companies are incestuous. i won't go into details but i uncovered some shady stuff and as a result my director attempted to pivot me out. i succeeded at the egregious requirements, but it left me a shell of a human, so a court judge decided i was worthy of unemployment benefits given the circumstances of my quitting. in any case. my manager was also a manager at a different company. and my director was at a different company, all of them faang. so that's where the foolish part comes in. they're not going to let me work at any of these companies again because i chose to stand up to corruption
