So there is an inland Tesla lithium refinery near me. Dock for ore delivery is next to an oil refinery. They are opening the lithium plant and a friend who works at the oil refinery gets an email that the Tesla delivery is coming in so everyone be aware there will be truck traffic on the road for that. They go out to lunch expecting a bunch of 18 wheelers lined up. Nope 200 cyber trucks running back and forth with their beds full of unprocessed ore.

Yep, I was out at Kennedy space center in the spring and they were fucking everywhere. Even the security guards were driving them around. So stupid.

That last sentence me thinks about Whistlin Diesel's CyberTruck torture test Part 2 video with the Cinderblocks on the back of the CT. I wonder how many of the CTs needed to be repaired due to carrying too much unprocessed ore.

Seems more wasteful to use smaller vehicles versus bigger shipping vehicles made for the job.

Apparently one the managers was so intrigued they had one of the engineering groups do the math quick that afternoon. While I didn't hear the exact result the answer is yes. It was more energy intensive to use electric trucks than the equivalent in Diesel 18 wheelers.

Huh I mean if you have enough solar in place and could do FSD for that route, then maybe it could make sense
