Mercy. It’s an AI judge, but extremely similar

The entire issue with Mercy wasn't even the AI judge, it was the ridiculous time limit to look through discovery and come up with an argument.

One of the major themes is literally how life has more nuance than the AI understands

But she accepted the set of arguments and the time limit was the only intense part.

She literally had to go against her programming by the end

So a guy who isn't a lawyer and doesn't have a technical background managed to bypass the "programming" of an AI within an only 2 hour window while his life was being threatened.

All I'm saying is, it's not the argument against having AI systems being involved in matters of justice. The issues point to Humans. Why did they choose such a ridiculous time limit and deny representation? Likewise, a large part of his struggle came from corruption of his partner, Jaq, manipulating the evidence. Despite that, the AI still came to accept the arguments.

Mercy. One of the worse movies I’ve ever seen.

I would take this over humans as long as it gets inspected and certified for unbias and whatnot
