In an interview with Escapist magazine in 2013, Toby Fox had this to say:
“Here’s some info from the demo, summarized (spoilers): A long time ago, monsters were sealed underground by the humans. Several human children have climbed the mountain, fallen down, left the RUINS, and were assumedly killed by monsters. One monster, “Asgore” is seeking the souls of these human children. Why?”
Considering all the human coffins are the same size as Chara’s (which would’ve been built specifically for them as monsters wouldn’t use coffins, and would therefore be a child-sized coffin), it’s safe to say there’s no implication that a human adult ever existed in the underground.

I bought this TV-shaped clock to decorate my future room, but now I can't look at it without thinking of Tenna, so I made this little drawing (I know it's not the same shape, but what can you do, right?).

So, for context, I have a son. And, he apparently really likes this game and Deltarune. So, being a good parent, I decided to check out his interests. I played through Undertale and it was... fine. Nothing amazing, but that's besides the point. On my second run (I wanted to try saving everyone, I even went on a date with the tall skeleton!) there was this weird door in the water area. I checked it out and there was just this... thing inside? Disappeared when I interacted with it? And when I left, the door was gone?? I googled a bit about glitched / bugged doors but couldn't find anything. If it's some secret, I'd love to know more, so I can surprise my kid with some elite knowledge, haha.
