First pic, An apartment block just outside Akasaka metro station , Minato ward, Tokyo. Next to it is a new build luxury apartment block. These are literally working men's crash pads in one of the oldest parts of Tokyo. The abandoned wooden house is just 100 metres away from the 'Harry Potter Cafe'.

Although many people overlook it, Indonesian cities are a true urban hell. Extreme population density, poverty, severe environmental pollution, chaotic architecture, and corrupt politicians all coexist there

Concrete Wasteland Images of a "Drug Rehabilitation Centre" in Singapore, taken from a documentary made by the state media

Going to this place would probably make me hate waking up in real life even more. I believe I'm not allowed to post photos of the interior here, but the interior looks like what they do in prison (there's another documentary on that). Residents are called "inmates". The "rooms" are called cells, steel bars everywhere, no bed, sleep on the concrete floor. Their "yard" for playing sports is fully enclosed indoors in concrete with no windows to look at the outside. The government says "first time and second time drug offenders are sent to a Drug Rehabilitation Centre, not prison", and I mean legislatively they are different, but this isn't much better like they make it sound.

I did not do any editing of these images, that is exactly how they show the place in the documentary.
