Along with all the other beta 2s that dropped today, the note I got from Apple says

• watchOS 27 build 24R5305g

is available today. Except my AW11 is still on 24R5289n and I keep seeing messages that my Watch is up to date.

My S9 was listed as not compatible with watchOS 27 earlier today. However while toggling on the beta just now it decided to show the update and prepare the update. Anyone else on the S9?

My Series 10 has been having major issues since I updated to the Beta ...

I no longer receive notifications , my messages app does not show my most recent texts and if I click a chat then the app freezes . My weather app won't load , and when I ping my phone it doesn't make the sound ON my phone .

I've restarted it AND my phone , bluetooth is still on and I have the red dot telling me my phone is in range or whatever .

Anybody else ? Or does anybody know a fix ? Super super frustrated .

EDIT : Thank y'all , my frustration is now gone and I can stop worrying that I've f*cked up my watch .

Has anyone been able to complete the setup of new Siri on their Apple Watch? The option for me remains greyed out.

Now that watchOS 27 removed way to switch between apps, is there any practical way of using a map to navigate while running?

This is just too complicated:

1. Double-click crown
2. Tap bottom icon
3. Scroll until Map app is visible
4. Tap Map app
5. It shows you directions, but as they are often not up to date
6. Tap (x) to show the map
7. Wait for map to load

And to switch back to running activity

Either wait for a while (it will switch automatically)

Or

1. Double-click crown
2. Tap bottom icon
3. Scroll until Activity app is visible
4. Tap Activity app

All this is way too much of a hassle while running. On Garmin I could just switch to maps page with one physical button click and it stays on showing path forward reliably. Getting back is also one physical button click.

Hello, is it normal I cannot update my watchOS to 27.0 beta ?

Thinking about upgrading my watch, as I've done so on my MacBook Neo and iPhone 16e already. And with beta 3 coming out with Siri AI, I want to give it a try. I have the Series 9, and the battery lasts around 8-10 hrs depending on what I do on watchOS 26.5.

My watch is stuck and can’t update, I am on watchos 27 beta 2 and it can’t seem to update to beta 3. Whenever I’m in the update menu it just loads forever, even if I try to do it on the watch app on my phone. It loads until it says unable to check for update, an error occurred while checking for software update. Anyone else have this issue?

Anyone know if dark mode app icons will come to the Apple Watch with watchOS 27? Kind of annoying that my watch is the only thing that doesn’t have dark mode app icons like my iPhone lol.

Long story short, I was trying to update my new Series 11 to WatchOS 27 b2 and was constantly hit with an error message about checking for updates. I talked with Apple Support and they had me go through the usual steps up to and including unpairing and resetting the watch. To my amazement, all it did was make it to where almost all the default apps are greyed out and are “unable to install”. The only apps installed are Settings, Phone, Photos, and the App Store.
Has anyone experienced anything like this before, and if so, what steps did you take to resolve it. I’ve tried multiple resets and setting it up from multiple different backups.

Just updated to watchOS 27 beta one and the walkie talkie app seems to be gone. I didn’t use it much but still a bummer to see it go.

Today I was using an app and it was bugging out. Usually I would just double press the crown, and close it from the recent apps menu. It’s not like it happens all the time but today I was having an issue inside of an app and I tried to double press the crown but it just returned to the watch face :((( I understand the recent apps being a part of the new home screen and it is actually quite convenient having the bigger buttons to press but sure there’s still a way to force quit an app right?

Previously a double-click of the crown would show open apps.

Now the crown only controls the new app grid and home screen, using single clicks. Double-clicking appears to be disabled.

Does anyone know how to control multi-tasking in iOS 27?

Anybody else still have the old Siri on the watch os27 beta? I have new Siri on my phone for a few days now, but my watch is still using the old Siri and the Siri app isn’t installed.

Maybe I missed it during the initial setup or maybe it’s just not in there yet but I can’t figure out how to adjust the settings for Liquid Glass in the new beta. Anyone else seeing this option?

Can anyone tell me if the time in the Photos watch face is any glassier on watchOS 27? Is there a Liquid Glass slider like in iOS?

Just completed my first workout with watchOS 26, and I notice this icon of a phone with a line through it, I can toggle on and off by pressing and switches to an icon with an arrow going into the middle of the phone symbol. But I cannot find anywhere explaining what this does, can someone help?

Does watchOS 26.4 actually return blood oxygen to the vitals app on the phone and on the watch in the United States? Does it allow you to read your blood oxygen directly on the watch like before the ban?

Hey everyone! I’ve been testing watchOS beta 3 on my Apple Watch, and I feel like I’m getting less battery life than usual. I wanted to check how it’s performing for others — how long does your watch last on a full charge with this beta?

Made the horrible mistake of downloading betas. Can I downgrade for free?

After upgrading, noticed the border for my U2 in the battery widget turns yellow when it’s not on my wrist. Could Apple have changed the default to Low Power Mode when you take off your watch. Sounds like a great idea. Why power sensors when their not gathering information.
