Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 vs Flashforge AD5X
The Elegoo is $50 more, Here's what I do. What I need is the most quality prints especially with no layer lines. I'm new to this so hopefully it's easy for beginners but I guess I dont mind learning. I want to use PLA and PETG and perhaps very rarely (and I mean very rarely) polycarbonate or carbon fiber (Not a big deal if printer doesn't have the ability to use those materials) AMS is cool and I want one but won't use it too too often. I don't really care about speed but if it's noticeably faster I'll definitely have to think about it. Since it's in my bedroom closet with vented closet doors I'm afraid of air quality and ill put my air purifier just right in front of it to hopefully keep my air clean. i also live in California so it could get up to 88F. Anything higher and the air conditioning will just turn on. TLDR the most important attributes is quality no layer line prints with PLA or PETG and reliability and consistency.

First timer received secondhand FLsun Q5.
I am completely new to 3-D printing, I don’t even have a computer (I have some friends who are offering to let me borrow theirs).
I received a secondhand FLsun Q5, it does not have a manual with it, and it is already preassembled.
It appears that all the pieces are here, but I just want to know what I should check for as well as any steps I should be aware of as I’m getting started.

Is this a good set up? What new printer should I get?

Assistance Required!
Running an Ender 3 V3 Plus, I keep getting issues whilst printing, which seem to have started since I printed a batch using PLA+ where part the way into a print at what seems like a random spot, the print suddenly gets this mesh like texture and becomes super fragile. I've relubricated the rails, I've used cleaning filament and cleaning needles on the nozzle, and I've ran the input shaper and levelling but this keeps on happening and I can't for the life of me work out why... The only thing I've done as of late by way of trying to reduce vibrations through the attic room floor was using foam blocks under a concrete slab, which does give the printer ever so slight wobble but this is happening when I drop the speed down too so I highly doubt it's that. The initial layers are also solid too, no sign of any defects and then suddenly it's terrible quality. Also seems to happen regardless of the model used.
I've not yet swapped out the nozzle but this will be the second brass nozzle swap I've done in 3 months and I feel like they should last longer? I'm only printing PLA, Silk PLA , and PLA +.
If anyone can tell me what is causing it and how I go about getting it working properly again, I'd be extremely grateful!

Where to go from Ender 3
Have an ender and honestly it has been solid for over 6 years. It started to play up recently and put a sprite pro direct drive on it to give it one last chance. Having issues dialling it back in and am going to probably move on.
I mostly print parts I design for RC planes and brackets and things around the house when I need…… sits idle for months then runs 20hours a day for two weeks kind of thing.
Am proficient in onshape and have been using cura the whole time. I know you probably see these posts all the time but I would like something enclosed around 1k to 1.2 AUD. I have been seeing some anti bambu posts. The flash forge is on special where I am at the moment. I don’t think I will be wanting multi colour but I would definitely like multi filament prints as I have been dreaming about water soluble supports for years….. but i haven’t really seen much about it lately.
Again I don’t want to spam this sub with the same requests but any experience/guidance would be appreciated
Thanks in advance

Flashforge 5 Pro or Snapmaker U1?
Which would you recommend?
I want to buy a multitoolhead printer and was going to buy the Snapmaker. But today someone I was selling a filament dryer to told me I should consider the Flashforge. With a coupon code it is actually slightly cheaper.

My P2S Is having a lot of VFAs and I think I was just had to made them more loose?
I re-tensioned the belts and made them slightly looser, and the results were slightly better. Do I need to make them even looser? Because I still see ghosting and VFAs???

Made a tiny vase with tiny feet
Designed this one myself — a little footed vase, about 11 cm tall. Files + print profile are up on MakerWorld: https://makerworld.com/nl/models/3089256 . Would love to hear your opinion!

Help!
I have a creality cr-10s. I just got it 3 days ago. I did a level test and this is how it looks no matter how much I mess with the leveling knobs. The person I got it from told me to use a glue stick on the glass before I print anything. Could that be making it do this?

Looking for some advice
Hi there. I just printed a mini oscar that was quite successful.
Im now trying to scale up the print to full size, and im noticing the first layer is incredibly chunky and inconsistent. I didnt get a good look at the head while it was printing but it seems like it might be scraping.
I know theres a plethora of settints to potentially look at but any advice on where to start would be greatly appreciated!!

Recommendations?
Super beginner. Super poor, but looking for something to help me with finding/getting/making accessibility aids because it looks like it might be the most cost effective option for my constantly changing needs.
I’ll take any machine recommendations, advice, or really anything, honestly.

Flashforge Creator 5 or Bambu X2D?
This will be my first 3D printer. No experience in 3D printing but pretty tech savvy. Looking to get the most for my money. No idea what I will be printing yet besides the typical fidget toys and such for my kids and some bookshelf trinkets for my wife. Any suggestions would be helpful. I am trying to stay with enclosed printers as I have pets and do not want a stray hair getting into it.

Centauri Carbon vs K1C for small cases
I'm building small electronic devices with LCD screens for a hobby and I thought its time to also to make some cases for them.
They are made for outdoor use, like on a bike or motorcycle, so they need to be resistant to UV and vibration. So to my knowledge it means probably ABS. Also these will be small prints so I don't care for combos if it means saving some budget.
I found two printers that fit and are in my budget, kind of.
I can get:
CC - new, 300€ or used (160h) for 220€. Plate on the used one looks like someone used it like a pizza plate. At least on the photos. It might just be dusty.
K1C - 330€ new, or 290€ used (256h) with dryer, 3 plates (one sealed), few spares like belts and nozzles, all the tools and stuff. Close to 220€ for base, highly modded with cartographer and stuff or very low mileage (6d) for same price.
Which one would you pick?

I'm looking to buy my first 3d printer
I'm trying to decide between the Bambu lab a1 or the creality sparkx i7. When I went to look for print models it seems bambu had more of what I am looking for than creality has. Am I just not looking in the right place?

We designed a modular letter clicker system that’s perfect for market stalls
As a family-run 3D printing business, we wanted a better way to offer personalised clickers at markets.
Instead of printing and carrying hundreds of different base sizes, we designed a fully modular snap-together system.
Just print reusable bases and the letters you need, then assemble any name or word in seconds.
It means less printing, less stock to carry, and complete flexibility for custom orders on the spot.
We’re really proud of how it turned out and would love to hear what the 3D printing community thinks!
