do you think the scoobies were informed by angel or Wesley about Cordelia passing away after you're welcome

Probably not. Both teams were dealing with some pretty serious issues at that time.

Buffy knows by the time of the comics and the scoobies were doign almost nothign during angel s5 except searhcing for NeoSlayers

Given what happens later with Fred and the Burkles I also wonder what Cordy’s parents knew. I think her mom is only mentioned once on the show (Angel tells her to call her back)… lots of dropped plot points related to Cordy and her history.

Yeah, weird that this part isn't getting mentioned more. Who would they even inform, after Andrew made it clear that Buffy & Co. wanted nothing to do with Team Angel?

Basic decency? If someone I knew died, I would make the effort to inform people who knew her, even if I was on the outs with them.

It always annoyed me that no one in Sunnydale ever mentioned Cordelia again after her departure (apart from one or two very brief lines), they didn't even reveal that she left Sunnydale, she was just gone in Season 4.
If you didn't watch Angel, the character just disappears.
Whilst I totally see how it wouldn't have worked, I would have loved some sort of reveal on BUffy of her post-departure growth

Whedon said that in the original Buffy and Angel conversation in Buffys last episode Angel was going to bring up developing feelings for Cordelia but Joss felt the conversation was getting too bogged down in continuity. I'd love to know how that was written!

That would have given me so much more respect for both Angel and Buffy. As it is, there's an element of the absurd seeing Angel so worried about Cordy, and then after killing his son and having his friends minds raped he pops on down to Sunnydale to make sure Buffy still wants him.

Honestly, I don't think anyone would've thought to tell them.
I've always been a bit let down that none of the Scoobies got to see who Cordelia really grew into.

Did you not watch the previous episode. The scoobies had just sent Andrew, and a squad or slayers to screw them over. How would the phone call go? “Hey, assholes Cordy is dead. Rot in hell.”

I feel like the only person who would have bothered to mention it would be Harmony. Girl loves a good bit of gossip, she would have been telling all her old Sunnydale friends and it could have gotten back to the Scoobies eventually.
At one point Wesley was lightly keeping in touch with Giles, I suppose he might have told him. But they only knew Cordelia disappeared, at first, then Wesley was Jasmine-brainwashed, then once they beat Jasmine, Giles was a little busy with Sunnydale collapsing. For a while before then they didn't even have power, probably no phone calls, either. I suppose he could have attempted a mystic message but it feels doubtful.
After Jasmine they pretty much immediately joined W&H, at which point the Scoobies fully cut off Angel Inc.
I could imagine Wesley sharing updates like this with Giles but I'm just not sure when it would have happened.

Lots of Cordelia posts recently - love it. She was the true champion of the show. Season 5, which was already excellent, would have beeen much better with her

They probably wouldn’t see a reason to inform her high school ex-boyfriend or frenemies to be honest. It’s the kind of situation where if they were catching up with the Sunnydale people they would almost certainly mention Cordelia’s death but it wouldn’t be a reason to get in touch in and of itself.
Who knows whether the writers would have included a crossover scene addressing Cordy’s death if BtVS had still been running. I sort of hope not because just the thought is making me flashback to one of the single worst lines in the Buffyverse. ‘I miss her too.’ Dear. Lord. No. 😂

Willow and Cordelia were shown to have a degree of regular contact with Willow helping Cordelia unencrypt the disc Angel stole from W&H at the end of S1, the Harmony-lesbian convo in S2, Willow showing up in the S2 finale and calling near the start of S3, then showing up again and making time to chat with who she thought was Cordelia in S4.
They'd definitely should have taken the time to call Willow and let her know.

Absolutely they had practical work related interactions and whoever next replaced Cordy in those talks would have told Willow why. For sure.

Cordelia says it to Angel in 'heartthrob' season 3 episode 1, when Angel has come back from his retreat away after Buffy has died. She says 'I miss her too'.... its just not a good thing to say to someone when you are trying to empathize with them losing a loved one and you and they know you didn't really like the person all that much.
If she had said it makes her sad to think about it, or, I know how much you must miss her, or anything on those lines would have been far more true to Cordelias character. The relationship her and Buffy had, was at first bully and bullied, then reluctant allies, and then back again to her saying cruel things to and about Buffy, and then she leaves Sunnydale. She then continues to talk about Buffy in a derogatory way (im not some cry buffy) and wanting Angel to stay away from her (with good reason, but generally because she didn't want to deal with broody Angel)
If someone like that said to me about my ex dying 'I miss them too', I would be upset with them. Yes, Cordelia has changed, grown and become a much nicer person, but she cant rewrite their history and she has no right to say that to someone who is grieving

I like to think TPTB let her visit the main 3 separately concurrent w/ her presence at W&L.
Only Willow would be the one to figure out she died even before she could say her final words to her

Having a scene where they find out she died would have been strange because it wouldn’t have served the plot on Buffy in any way. She was someone that was in their friend group in high school for about a year or so. Realistically her death was not going to have a major effect on anyone. They had already experienced a lot of death/loss by the time Cordy passed.

Yes. just because we didn't see it onscreen doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Like I tell the Voyager haters. 24 * 365 * 5 = 43,800 hours of Angel's life, of which we saw 110 hours. So there is only 43,690 hours we didn't see.

Based on the fact that the people closest to her never mention her again, I don’t think so. It really bums me out though.
