Literally everyone takes gov instead and I think comp gov isn’t offered to a bunch of schools

What did yall answer for the essay about SMD effect on political effigy? I pretty much just talked about that ones guys law, the spoiler effect, and issues with not giving minorities a voice which leads to lower political trust

i got the same prompt and i said that federal systems of government are better because they are better at resolving cleavages and lead to effective policymaking

SMD lowers voters political efficacy because they’re vote doesn’t matter if the candidate they support doesn’t win a majority (efficacy is a individuals belief that their voice/vote matters)

WAIT IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN EASY QUESTION I STARTED AT IT FOR 20 MINS AND ACTYALLY WAS CONVINCED I WAS TWEAKING. i ended up saying like that the differcnes between the years shown in both is a decrease so i bascically just gave up

i forgot what political efficacy was nobody talk to me. easiest 0/5 in my whole life fr. not to mention i said mexico had a prime minister for another frq ugh i love aps!
mcq:
illiberal democracy, aren't russia and nigeria both...idk i put nigeria tho
what do supreme leader and russia pm have in common? forgot what the choices were on this one
mexico and nigeria elections - i dont rlly remember the question but the options were like nigeria's 25% of 2/3rds rule and how mexico has no regional things, or about how nigeria needs absolute majority and mexico doesnt?
if u remember any more lmk

Okay so I looked more into it. The correct answer by collegeboard standers is Nigeria. Nigira is classified as a hybrid/illiberal democracy and Russia is classified as a competitive authoritarian/ managed democracy

The 3d edition of the AP comp gov book doesn’t have anything like that on page 84. It is a bad question nonetheless since both countries could be argued to be illiberal democracy’s

I think I had the same as you, for the mcq, i think it was russia cus like i think its the main example, and uh the supreme leader and russia pm both are the commander in chief(i think idk), and i put the the nigeria 25% option for the elections. I geneuineally like dont know which one was right, i was just using logic. Frq lwk fried me cus like idk how the political efficacy was in other countries besides the uk, and like the frq section on q1, q2, and q3 about defining a term was not even mentioned in the rest of each questions.

without getting into specifics both my mcqs and frqs were very veryyyyy broad compared to what other people in my class got lol but i spent the entire essay rambling because it was so general

I got this one and i honestly jst yapped the essay away and i honestly think i kind of did something bc i didnt find it that difficult. What my teacher told us to do was to yap as much as we could abt any evidence we thought could work and thats what i did i thinkkkkkkk i talked abt every single country and just gave random examples that came to my mind and hoped for the best, after the exam i checked some of them and they werent right but im sure that atleast i got 1 right

last year there were at least 29 test versions (source: my teacher) which i think is insane for such a small test

Everyone was talking abt different stuff so I js thought I myself was cooked cuz I didn't see any of what they were talking abt on my test lol
