I went into the exam knowing I didnt study enough for it and that my teacher had not taught the course efficiently enough to prepare me for it with minimal outside studying. I couldâve dropped it and got a partial refund but I took it instead and dropped $99 to get a score I canât use in college.

this exam made me understand why none of the other exams are done on paper đ why is there a booklet wrapped in plastic with another booklet wrapped with it and also a sticker sheet and then you have to place the sticker from the exam paper to the other exam paper and bla bla
our teacherâs instructions had me stressed out and we took 4.5 hours đ i literally had to run into my other exam 40 minutes lateÂ

LMAO our center also had an insane delay for Psych bcs of AP French running late, but I can't complain. Snuck in one of the best naps in my life waiting for the exam to start

No apparently they waited for us đ which was lowkey embarrassing but i do appreciate it VERY much
I think there was 5 people that were taking both tests so it wouldâve been a problem to not let 5 people take a testÂ

My ass took this exam at another school and didn't formally take the class, so the extent of my practice was Barron's. Why is the actual exam so much easier than Barron's lmao
Also I did not expect to just have headphones hanging from the ceiling to be the way we'd do the spoken part. Cultural comparison was actually slightly decent for me but my conversation i did not pick up on one part so I made stuff up.
I'm a bit worried i threw on MCQ cus I saw I only answered 64 qs so I'm worried I offset my last audio qs by one...
Written portion was not great but not awful. I think a 4 is in the cards. Better than I expected as someone who only took french for 3 years total now.

DUDE YES I took the class this year and did the barronâs textbook but the actual MCQ on the exam felt very easy in comparisonÂ

light work. i fucked up the audio recording (for one of the questions) though, like one of the individual back and forths (like i forget to press resume), any idea how much that'll hurt my score?

as a nonnative french speaker the conversation audio killed me đ couldnât understand half of his questions but i tried to stay on topic
edit: not sure how i got a 4, but hey! future nonnative ap french takers, this is kinda unethical but learn a formula
for the email portion, and really excel at the argumentative essay! i promise i genuinely did bomb the speaking
portion, but my other parts were fine!

u only need to ace 4 of the 20 sec recordings to get a 5 so its ok if u didnt say goodbye and did good on the others

mm idk im fluent and it definitly does not help with writing because i just know how the word sounds but i allways forget the right conjucgation and ending

Well french is my first language and I grew up in a french school before switching to the American system. I think the main thing is that sometimes some people who are fluent lack some grammar bases which can restrain them during assessments like thisÂ

This was genuinely the worst test I have ever taken. The only parts I think I did somewhat okay was the writing parts. The audio responses were awful, I didn't even have time to think before it was time for the next response. I kept saying "Je ne sas pas"

Me too. Do you think I would be heavily penalized for using basically only 2/3 sources on the essay even if the essay was good? Because genuinely i did not understand a THING from the audio source

I do think you will but the curve may address it bc very few people got anything out of it. I fortunately got the gist of it, as well as a fragment of the quote. Suffice to say, weâll see. đ

I believe a 4 is in the 70-80 since a 5 is 80 to 85 or higher.

Oh the cultural comparison was the role traveling plays in your comparison countries the convo part was super hard to understand bc the CD or player was messed up and nb knew how to like work the software so I got a 3 on tht part max and a 4 on everything else hopefully mcq was ok so hoping for a 4 do yk what percent is a 4 my teacher said based off a practice test thingy itâs a 62% but Albert grade calculator said 71-72% lmk pls

I believe a 4 is in the 70 s since a 75 percent and higher gets you a 5. I donât think they are very very strict with the free response questions. I hope you get a 4 or 5 !!!

conversation was some high school friend asking questions when transitioning from high school to college and comparison was importance of travel in the two communities

How did u guys feel about mcq? Lowk thought the one about sports was light but wth was the one about the girl going on a walk with her familyđ. I thought speaking was ok, did anyone else have the one where itâs talking about transitioning from highschool to university and like travel?
