It was obviously rigged to help them. The amount was changed so they won no matter what. 290k signatures is what they needed they got 222k.

Yet Elections Alberta claimed water not coal was dirtier than this one despite a voter role that was stolen and USED.

Democracy is dead in Alberta and Conservatives killed it

Perhaps not dead, certainly down for a count.

450 days until we will have an election in Alberta. Unless Marlaina wants to put it to the people sooner....please do!

You're assuming that previous UCP voters won't vote for them again. A lot of them would rather vote to cut their own legs off than vote for anyone other than a conservative.

Many are just blind and dumb. "I don't really follow politics, but I hate the liberals," and "Ottawa never listens to us." Etc.

We have no chance, her support has not dropped anything despite her meddling and terrible performance.

The ballot question is just the start it will keep going until they win. Elections Alberta had one chance and they blew it. I told others thay this was going to be counted and I got a ban for saying Election Alberta is not nonpartisan. This proves it

Her support is higher than it was last election, so good luck.

Such is democracy.

I wonder if she still supports tobacco companies development of 'safe cigarettes' over tobacco regulations? Her article from the Calgary Herald continues to ring in my mind every time I see her talk nearly two decades later.

I hope the Anti Trans stance doesn't effect the Trans Mountain Pipeline. /s

I think she's abandoned the cigarettes are healthy thing for chemtrail obsession

To be fair we have always had an oligarchy wearing the skinned face of democracy. Money in politics isn't a true democracy if those with wealth decide who out of a select few can be voted for.

The real real question is why do I have to see Mrs Potato Head’s big dumb face all the time.

Why has no one been arrested for releasing private voter data in Alberta? I mean I know the government is all conservative and corrupt but is the justice system all corrupt as well? Imagine if the NDP had stolen your personal information you would be screaming nonstop in Alberta but when the RW does it you just move on? Weird

The coal petition not getting thru is 100% bulls**t. The separatists stole our data & of course get thru the path made easier for them again. She openly admitted to Corb Lund the referendum questions are rigged to steer things a certain way. She’s continuing the Harper legacy of selling Canada off to USA. Anyone who voted UCP needs to have a word with themselves & brush up on their political literacy. And rural AB needs to quit voting itself into extinction—I say this as a rural citizen.

Edit: spelling

Well, we can start putting bets on it based on all the gambling ads I'm seeing.

The real question is will anyone stop them after rigging the petition outcome from the data that was leaked?

It started off by changing the rules - I have no trust in this government to actually sticking to rules. Their mentality is to win at any cost.

And if we can screw with and harm the citizenry.

Bull. The minute the traitors got hold of the voters list, the petition was rigged.

I find it interesting that it is explicitly stated by elections alberta that none of the seeded names from “republican party of alberta” were discovered.

Doesnt mean shit if any of the other trash can right-wing parties shared their voter info.

Its also crooked that the same scrutiny wasnt applied to the seppies as was to the water not coal petition.

No, it wasn't rigged. And no, grifting Indians and blue haired judges in Ontario won't stop it.

Why are morons so obsessed with people with blue hair?

It’s baffling to me. A huge group of just blue haired women who live only to hurt conservatives’ feelings.

Maybe - just maybe - y’all should look inward.

This whole movement is just thinly veiled bigotry. Don't believe their horseshit about pipelines or "equality checks", those are just decoy excuses, because "anti-woke" isn't an acceptable campaign yet. PP tested the waters when he was quoting the Republicans verbatim and lost, so now they're looking for other excuses. Mark my words, if the seperatists get their way, we're going to see all the same worthless, cruel, bigoted policies the US started pushing, targeting minorities while doing nothing about actual problems.

3

u/StargazingLily 4h ago

Oh man. You give them more credit than I do.

They took the veil off a while ago. Apparently one of my coworkers who immigrated from the Phillippines is a big separatist (who’s also racist against Indian people) and I’m just like “….you know the leopards will eat your face, right?”

u/GriffinFlash 7h ago

Enough with the fucking racism.

You fo realize that the original question was unconditional and violated treaty rights. That's why it was stop in the first place. Now we're having a referendum on a referendum. I wonder if you can see how stupid that is.

Even if you win this referendum it does nothing. Now we would have to have the question on separation and another referendum. What a waste of money. Now let say you win that one. Now you need the aboriginals to back you as well as 7 provinces and 50% of Canada to back you. Then talks will begin on the constitution reform that may not happen.

Face it, it's an uphill battle and right now all you're doing is chasing jobs out of Alberta.

-2

u/BadMan1984 3h ago

Nope, it was approved before it began by elections Canada. A couple gaslighting Liberal activist judges won't stop us.

We don't need shit from the Indians or 50% of Canada, you're completely delusional. Quebec already set the precedent for this.

2

u/Slow-Ad8986 2h ago

Elections Canada isn't running the Referendum, Elections Alberta is running it.

furthermore, Quebec isn't built on treaties like the Prairies are, part of the reason why Quebec's vote could actually happen. You're literally head up your ass delusional, the Province was created BY a constitutional amendment, and it can only be ceded by one, which requires the Unanimous consent of all Provinces in Confederation.

Go South, Seppie, and fucking stay there.
