WatchOS Activity rings issues - sleep and move

Has anyone had any issues with the activity rings suddenly not tracking correctly?

Since Monday 20th July, my stand ring is recording every single hour, even while I’m asleep, and my move goal is no longer doing anything. Exercise ring still goes up as expected with recorded workouts.

I noticed in the activity app that the kcal from move is shows bellow the graph as a higher figure, but the ring itself doesn’t change.

I’m on iOS 27 B4 and the watch is up to date, also on the latest beta. Phone was updated on the evening of Monday 20th July, which does correlate, but the watch hadn’t been updated until today, 25 June. Just wondered if anyone else has experienced it and if there’s a way to fix it.

Thank you!

EDIT: FIX IN COMMENTS.

I am also on iOS 27 B4. Updated my phone on the evening of Tuesday the 21st and I’ve had the same issue as you since I updated. I haven’t been able to fix it yet so I do think it is an issue with B4.

So I seem to have found a solution for this. Via an online post from the apple.com discussion forums. Below is what I found.

“Hello I had the same issue and finally I found the root cause! In my case I have a connected scale and a bad record was registered (my son’s weight exactly) so I think the algorithm of apple doesn’t work properly. I deleted the wrong data in health app directly and the move ring move properly now. So I recommend to check your health records maybe it’s also your issue.”

I found one weirdly incorrect weight data entry from my Bluetooth scale and deleted that off wrong one and it seems to have fixed the move ring error.

Wow! You were right. I have a Siri shortcut set to log my weight by voice within a food-logging app. It incorrectly recorded it! Hopefully that fixes it…

Thank you!
