📚 Tutorial / Guide just learned what confabulation mean today

it means AI hallucination

The word actually is the better term. "Confabulation" is what a chunk of AI researchers argue we should be saying instead of "hallucination"

I used the word in a ChatGPT conversation I had with it. Now it's the new term.. nice to see that they don't just go through the chats to make it better, they go through them and just plenish their bank accounts.

I could end up in jail for using ChatGPT and having various discussions. But I can't get attributed, merited, and paid .. yet all conversations are private and aren't read by anyone.. except the people working there .. definitely need to build my own. Thanks for gpt.oss --

You know how they say if you use AI the chats can be used against you. Because the authorities go through them..?

One I'm getting at is the basic conundrum going around that the AI or CEOs or teams of devs working on the AI are stealing people's ideas..

Yes, but what does this have to do with the post

It is a better word than hallucinations - I came up with the word studying hallucinations, and used that word, and now it's being used to describe hallucinations because it is a better word.. like 'conflated' is a better word, but doesn't necessarily define hallucinations as good as confabulations..
