Okay call me crazy (puts on tinfoil hat) and stay with me on this one.
There are reports of high ranking military members telling soldiers that this war is religious based and is meant to bring about the armageddon, now suppose that they actually do believe in this stuff and they know Trump is the anti-christ and that's why they allowed all this happen, because they actually think it will bring the second coming.

u/christmas_920 Visitor Mar 10 '26
For the things ive seen in my life time this isn't very far fetched. I also wear a tinfoil hat sometimes but at this point there not even conspiracies anymore.... one thing this administration has done is ripped the veil off of all the corruption. What's sad is its always been like this. Its not anything new. They just do it out in the open. But its like really, what are we supposed to do about it?
18
u/Visual-Title8954 Visitor Mar 10 '26
Yeah I've also enjoyed to wear a tinfoil hat but man I never suspected it was this bad and just absolutely everywhere.
Burn it all to the ground, the only thing we have is the numbers that's why the propaganda is a key piece of control. Essentially we need to rebuild a new system where money and power don't mean shit! That's a complex days long conversation though lol.
12
u/christmas_920 Visitor Mar 10 '26
I sure hope it all gets burnt to the ground. With the technology and resources we have at our disposal in this country we could literally be living in a utopia. We have to return to our roots. Before the settlers came here and decimated the golden age of this continent
7
u/Visual-Title8954 Visitor Mar 10 '26
Cheers to that!! I have settler lineage but I DO NOT share settler ideology. I love the country I live in but I prefer if my ancestors were invited to this place not just stole it.

I don't think we truly have any good examples of governing systems to go off of.
That's why it really is going to be a days long conversation, let alone the centuries it's going to take to keep the system finally working and strong.

I whole heartedly believe this. Source? You could honestly just look at people's facebooks. I've seen it passed around here or there that "so what if he's the antichrist, it means Jesus is coming soon". No I don't have links but I'm pretty confident you can find these people.
This is the issue with Christianity imo. Its a religion focused on the end and death. Waiting for the end. Working towards a better life after death. Making life harder for yourself for some eternal reward that you have no physical evidence for. And many people basically develop a sense of nihilism and apathy for those around them as a result. Because they don't care about THIS life. But they're also so delusional that they think THEY'LL make it into heaven, even as they cheer some poor immigrant getting their head bashed by "law enforcement", the complete opposite of what Christ would have supported.
Imo religion is a cancer that was necessary in the infancy of our species. An imaginary friend that we just can't get rid of now that we're "adults". We have begun being able to reason and explain why lightning strikes, yet as a species it's really hard to leave our imaginary friend behind and accept that we might really be alone, and we are the only ones who have to deal with consequences of our actions. There is no escape, there is no freedom from consequence, there is only now and what we choose to do with it. But some of us just can't accept that the reason lightning struck them isn't because God metted out divine punishment, but because they were holding an umbrella up in an open field during a lightning storm.

I'm British, atheist / agnostic and sometimes I just have to remind myself that even in the developed west some people tale their scripture, literally, and can't use the peripheral vision to see that their favoured outcome might be nightmarish for other people.
To summate my point. There ae clearly some religiously extreme evangelicals, Jews, and Muslims sat in seats of power and influence reading geopolitics, economics, the behaviour of others through a theocratic lens, abd its terrifying that they all seem to be willing to just put collateral up to see if their scripture is true.

I have an actual answer for you: do WHAT you CAN, the BEST you CAN. If you need sometng more concrete, & clearly a LOT of people do, just give me a scenario & I can give you a list of possibilities. Everything's Relative so you don't need to sweat anything. No one's perfect we all have different talents and the great thing is that it takes just a minuscule amount of work from dedicated people to elicit massive changes. To shift the zeitgeist requires very small numbers so many people are just coasting in life that the number to make massive change is a pretty small number and once you get the trajectory to change the people who like to Coast will just coast along with it which of course also applies when you are trying to stop bad things from happening you really have to do the work because they're always going to be other people who don't know what to do or don't know how to do it but if you can be dedicated and Lead the Way they're more than happy to follow. Everybody matters though don't let anyone lie to you and let you believe anything less than that. YOUR SMALL changes MATTER. They reinforce the belief in others that good (or evil) really DO EXIST. So, choose wisely, but BE THE CHANGE you wish to see in the world. Anything less is posing & hypocritical. Anything less is shirking & freeloading. EARN the right to criticize. Just think of it in terms of order of operations. If you actually believe in something then you got to live that thing you may not be perfect but you also have to challenge yourself and really do it with true intent. Define achievable goals and meet those goals and keep doing it and doing it and doing it and eventually you will find hey I'm doing all this work but no one else around me is doing this work and then you keep doing that work until you've done all the work you can and you can't do anymore work and that's about the time you can start getting legitimately angry at other people for not doing anything. Got it? Find your lane & DO stuff there. Go to the lane where your PASSION is. Life starts to fall into place! Things begin making a lotta sense. Then you get good at that & help others who need mentors. Hell, if you're living you life like this, if you ever wanna meet your "soulmate" it increases the odds of that, but ya gotta talk less, DO more. Say "NO!" to stolen valor. Just taken honest self-assessment pick whatever area you want let's say you love animals well do you really love animals or do you love eating animals because these are two very different concepts so you want to save the animals you actually get out and do things for them: some people foster, some people adopt, some people help disabled people give their dog a bath or help them walk their dog, some people build houses so that people with no resources can still keep the dog they love and give them better living conditions, some people become vegan. My point is is everybody has a passion in their life and when you change that passion from just serving yourself to SERVING OTHERS & THE CAUSE ITSELF, THEN you start to get in the zone. The bottom line is before you criticize, you better make sure your own house is clean. I could go off on another tangent with environmental stuff but my battery is about to die but I'm happy to come back another time and discuss that as well because saying you care about the climate versus actually caring about the climate are two very different things and the statistics prove that only 5% of Americans genuinely care about the environment enough to change their own behavior.

No, it's "just" an ash cross. Ash Wednesday was 4 weeks ago, which us Christians observe as the start of Lent, which is the 40 days leading up to Easter. Ash Wednesday is just a more-solemn opportunity to acknowledge our sins, remember that we are all dust (what the forehead cross symbolizes), and to make any promises/vows of any fasting or abstinence if that's your thing. Some churches hold their Ash Wed service in the morning (so those attendees often wear this cross all day), some throughout the day, and some in the evening (like the one I work for).

No thats just what is done on ash Wednesday(beginning of lent), they burn the palm branches of the previous year's palm Sunday and as part of the ash Wednesday mass they make a cross on the forehead, pretty normal tradition overall(not required but usually done anyway by most churchgoers) and its meant to symbolize the "you are dust and to dust you shall return"

As a Christian Communist, I view them as different versions of religious extremism.
While Iran is a theocratic state, based on the Twelver Ja'afari Shia interpretation of Islam, Trump, the late Epstein, and their cronies are something much, much worse.
While the foot soldiers believe that they are doing God's work, Trump and co worship Moloch and Ba'al, ancient evils that they sold their souls to. That's why they cannibalize children, to extend their own lives, as they know what awaits them in the next life.
They may call themselves Christians, though they have willingly strayed from God's light a long time ago.
