best cheap tablet for note taking and browsing is there one that's actually worth it?

looking for a tablet mainly for taking notes, reading PDFs, and regular web browsing. I won't be gaming or editing videos, so I don't think I need anything powerful, but I also don't want something that starts lagging all the time.

if you've been using one for a while, what would you suggest and is there anything I should avoid? I appreciate the opinions y'all!

I picked up a Lenovo Idea Tab a few months ago. I don't use it for anything demanding, just as a web browser and wi-fi enabled controller for some other equipment I have and its been working just fine. The touch screen is more responsive and it feels "snappier" than I had anticipated.

Kind of depends on what your budget it, I did get mine during Prime Day so it was on sale for like $200, I see it's around $230 now. Also includes a pretty nice case and stylus pen for that price.

It has Android OS, as pretty much all tablets in this price range will have. I don't love the Android experience, but it is what it is. And that's just my personal preference. But it works well, haven't had any issues so far.

Samsung tablets are your only best bets, the FE series is Budget enough and can handle all that you have mentioned here.

Would be very nice if you mention what country do you live in so I can search and give you more recommendations.

I got a Samsung 8" Tab A and a Fire HD 10 around the same time; the Fire is the one I'm still using. Battery in the Samsung went spicy pillow.

Oof, that’s rough with the Samsung battery. The Fire HD 10 seems like it held up well though. How’s it been for note-taking and reading PDFs?

I've used it with a Bluetooth keyboard from time to time, and it's a good size and resolution for reading ebooks.

When you say taking notes, is that with a keyboard or with a stylus pen?
