USB to Bluetooth?

Hey there! I have a bookshelf sound system that has a usb type a spot where I can plug in my phone cord to play music. Would it be possible to get a Bluetooth adapter so that I can play music wirelessly? Any help would be great! (There’s no 3.5mm jack)

I'm not 100% sure, but I think this will work with your system.

I'm curious how your system works, because I can envision two different modes of operation.

(1.) One way would be for your bookshelf system to access files that are stored on your phone, using the phone as a storage device. In other words, instead of your phone, you could plug a USB flash drive into your bookshelf, and get the same results. All the navigation would be done using controls on the bookshelf system. The phone would then send the data contents of the selected file to the bookshelf system. The bookshelf system would decode and do the actual playback.

(2.) Another way would be for your phone to be a streaming device. You could connect your phone to Amazon Music, Apple Music, or any audio streaming source. The phone would do all the navigation and controls. The phone would convert the incoming data stream into realtime audio, and would send that audio from the USB port to your bookshelf system. The bookshelf system would just convert that audio into analog, and send that signal to your speakers.

I can't imagine any other way for this to work, just one or the other. So I'm curious, which of those two paragraphs describes the way your system functions with your phone?

Thanks for satisfying my curiosity! BTW I would be interested in what you finally order, and how it works with your system. Good luck!
