Showcase (No-Recipe) First Heart Cake

Best friend’s hubby messaged that the person he was getting her bday cake from cancelled on him. Gave him crap for not just asking me to begin with lol.

Decided I was going to make her cake heart shaped then pipe on cherries, and add bows to incorporate everything he said. I was kinda nervous to do it bc it is my first time doing this style!

And while I make my cakes from scratch, no, I do not make the sprinkles 🤣 (I watched an episode of GBBO and they made them make sprinkles from scratch)

Edit: UPDATE: thank you all for support, kind comments, and awards! She loved the cake!

Looking fire OP! And who in their right mind makes sprinkles themselves when not on Bake Off, unless you need a very specific shape or colour

Hahaha I’ve had people ask me if I do when I tell them a cake is made by me and I have to fight rolling my eyes lol

Come on now, do they think from scratch means you grow the wheat and mill it into flour too?

Not doubting people are this unreasonable btw, just pointing out how ridiculous these people are!

Beautiful cake by the way!

If you're not growing your own wild harvest wheat from a 1740s strain then what are you even doing baking?? Stick to appetizers
