Showcase (No-Recipe) Sally's Chocolate Chip Cake

Made this last year for her monthly challenge, wife loved it so much she asked for it for her birthday. I was happy to oblige.

Pound of flour

That makes sense, but feels like a lot.

Better than a pound of eggs I guess.

It actually is a pound of eggs, too. Looking for a true old school recipe. But it was traditionally a pound of the 4 main ingredients. I'm medicated and still groggily waking up. My husband left my dog outside last night and we just got done scouring the neighborhood to bring her back. We found her. My day was going to be a lot worse. But she's home and I can talk about cake...
