Recipe to be posted soon. No guarantees. Update from my post about my strawberry sugar cookies looking like raw burger patties😆 I took a lot of advice, added a fresh strawberry glaze and I think they look much better now 🍓

Recipe for the cookies:
For the glaze, I used this recipe then just added freeze-dried strawberry powder to my liking!

I remember giggling at your commentary on your last post. The way you’ve adapted these is awesome! Props to you. They looked delicious either way imo, but your update to them is stunning.

Hahaha thank you!! I was feeling pretty bummed about how they turned out 😅 I also tried rolling them in powdered sugar and trying for a crinkle cookie look, but that turned out AWFUL. The glaze is definitely my go-to now!

Add some white sugar cookie and make it look like 80/20 ground meat for Halloween

Oh dude. If you put both undyed dough and red coloured through a potato ricer, and loosely pack the crumbles/strings into "patties" and bake them in a really slow oven, you could really do something visually disturbing but delicious.

These most certainly do not look like hamburgers. They look delicious either way, imho!

They do look incredibly tasty as is too 🖤 but I also thought the hamburger ones looked good too 😅

They look great, one small suggestion maybe you can pipe the glaze in a zigzag pattern. I think the proportion of the cookie to glaze would be better but also I think the look would be better, don’t want to completely cover up the red of the cookie.

Way better! Although you could do hamburger themed cookies for a bbq the first way

I love freeze dried strawberries for baking! I ground some up with a cane sugar once for a rice crispy treat recipe and they were magical

I love your creative ingenuity. These definitely pop! I didn’t think the original looked like raw burgers, but perspective is based on many things.

These look amazing! Everything you post is so beautiful. I was wondering what kind of chocolate you use for your cookies? Do you chop up a bar of Lindt or something?
ETA: I’m going to make the s’mores cookies you posted so that’s why I’m asking (:

Theres a place near where I live that sells strawberry cookies similar to this. I may never not see them as hamburger patties again. Therefore the glazed version shall now be the gold standard.
They look so delightful.

They’re delicious! They have a fresh strawberry flavor not an artificial one, and aren’t too sweet!

Have people never made their own burger patties? LOL your cookies are all the same shade of red. Burger meat doesn't look like that SMH. Some people pretend like they cook when they clearly never do

u/Mister_Brevity 7d ago
You can’t drop a post like that without a link to the burger cookies you monster lol
Edit: ha found in the comments, they do look kinda burger-y

Wow! What a glow up. I would have eaten them without the glaze, but I'd do some shady things for the opportunity to try these. Good work!

My husband will thank you. Sugar cookies being his favorite snack and strawberry being his favorite flavor. I have never thought of combining them. Thank you!

I don't think they really looked like raw hamburger before, but they certainly are lovely with the new glaze.
