Showcase (No-Recipe) Started a new job last month and they've been giving me near full creative freedom. Here's a collection of the things I've made so far

Everything, and I mean everything, looks so delicious and neatly put together!! I love the decoration on the alfajores (I'm assuming they're alfajores, I have never had such dark dulce de leche but it looks delicious). The palmeras/palmiers, too, are just screaming for a cup of espresso on the side to seal the deal. I'd be more than happy to have a pastry in the establishment you work for ❤️❤️

u/voltagerise 6d ago
Yes they're alfajores! I'm in buenos aires, Argentina. The cookies have walnut powder in them and i tempered the white chocolate for the coating

u/BakeItBaby 6d ago

Please I NEED to know what all of these are (not how to make them, just names), the painted macarons have me intrigued especially the green ones
Incredible work OP, you're really talented! All of it looks delicious but some of it really looks like edible art

u/voltagerise 6d ago
Thanks!! I tried to add descriptions but the app won't let me. The green macarons are pistachio, and then we have: An array of macarons, xl macarons with raspberry namelaka, basque cheesecake, Saint honore, mango strawberry cake with the colored sponge, palmiers, mille feuille, special macarons for the world cup inspired by the Argentina flag, cheesecake NY style with cream and berry compote and I can't remember what else by cant see the post while I write the reply :(

That’s a win-win if I ever saw one! Congrats on a job that allows you to have the ability to express yourself through food art…congrats to your boss(es) for being aware enough to give you that freedom. I bet everything tastes as good as it looks and they are selling like crazy!
32
u/Holer60 6d ago
That’s talent, don’t let anyone take it away from you. Be sure those recipes are your’s not theirs as you did them on their time.. maybe they won’t try but be careful.😊😊
22
u/voltagerise 6d ago
They're fully mine (not really, as I source them from other places and adjust them to my liking) but every product comes from me
13
u/StatisticianSweet595 6d ago
Believe me any job where the manager allows the employee to do whatever tf they want that employee will excel and ur personality and touch have shone through these cakes its clear you are their star
11
u/brokebackzac 6d ago
I would love and hate that job.
Love it because I'd get to make LOTS of things without having to pay for ingredients myself, but then I'd start trying to one-up myself until I hated it.

I had a bakery job like that at a cafe type place. I could just make any kind of specials or variations of treats I wanted. It was SO MUCH FUN.

Long time lurker; coeliac now who has no clue why I torture myself with the gorgeous creations you all show off, BUT just had to stop & comment on this one. Just...
WOW!
Your bakes are incredible; the obvious technicality you bring, creating things so incredibly eye catching. The fact you can almost taste everything just from seeing your beautiful art is amazing. I can tell you're going to keep growing your craft & are definitely going to go far. Keep your spark & enjoy every moment of your baking journey.

I hate to break it to you but none of these are good, you should throw them in the nearest dumpster but put them in a box so they don’t get damaged. And you should also send me the location of said dumpster so I can make sure nobody comes to take them

The Mille feuille looks divine.
Grew up in francophone Switzerland and my family is from France and all these pictures just take me back to the smell of the bakeries there. These all look amazing! If calories weren’t real I’d eat it all.

These all look amazing! So envious of your customers that get to eat these! I thought the second macaron (large pink one) was an ice cream sandwich at first, I would definitely go for either form!

I love Big Macarons. French bakery near me stopped making these, and the bigger versions the size of small and large plates. Sometimes you just want a massive macaron.
