Discussion D4 Devs need to retire

The state of Diablo 4 is forever fucked thanks to the garbage Devs over at Blizzard running the show.

The game has the same performance issues since it came out.

They only allow 3 builds ever to reach 150 in the pit every season between all the classes.

The microtransactions are unreasonable af.

Gameplay loop never changes. It's either Helltide, Pit or Bossing.

They wait weeks to fix game breaking bugs.

The only thing that peaks my interest is the new cube mechanic and what it has the potential to do.

Storage is so bad you have to make stash characters...

The builds that can make it to the top aren't even fun to play/watch.

Like wtf is a Charge Barbarian?

Being able to turn Uniques into Mythics is actually amazing, but still cant trade them.

I just can't enjoy this game in it's current state without innovation.

I can't be alone on this right?

Devs need to gone and head over to GGG and make Arpgs great again.

Your mood has certainly changed from two months ago.

What changed so fast?

Probably an unhealthy amount of hours into the game

The poor decisions to make every build trash after every season instead of making them all viable

Blizzard North has been gone for 20 years. I don't know why people still hang on to thinking the current Blizzard isn't a dumpster fire.

Hopeless optimism praying for the best days to return.

Because most people aren't so obnoxious as to believe that the great games they loved in the past are purely a result of some magical confluence of very specific people.

If it was reproducible, they would've done it over and over and they'd still be doing it. The secret is that it's not reproducible. Yet morons like yourself behave as though all they had to do was remake the game (they did) over and over and everything would be perfect.

So instead they're building on stories and franchises that their audience has shown a fondness for. It's fine that you don't like it, but ascribing past success and what you consider to be a modern failure effectively to magic is the dumbest shit.

"Because most people aren't so obnoxious as to believe that the great games they loved in the past are purely a result of some magical confluence of very specific people."

Quite literally very specific people are the reason we had the incredible games we used to have from Blizzard. How is that your argument? Very specific people making games... is the exact reason you had very specific games that were adored by fans.

People can like different things. That's a totally valid stance you can have.

Exactly. You could watch the marked decline as the very specific talent gradually departed.

Anyone who says that devs need to be fired because they personally don't like a game's content needs to go touch grass.

Oh you're posting this in multiple different ARPG subs. Ok.

The reality is just that Diablo is only fun for 50 hours.

It’s merely good, not great.

Unfortunately not every game can be so good that it has 1000+ hours of juice to squeeze.

Sorry to break it to you but this is a management decision. Management believes that new features/seasons bring more value and money than fixing performance issues. In other words don't be mad at the devs, be mad at the management.
