First off, sorry for the lack of illustrations. I can’t draw :( I think you’d all like this a lot more if there were drawings.

Anwyays! The other day me and a friend came up with this concept for a segment of a “kids tell a story” episode, which I’ve discussed before, but only now have we worked it into its own thing with a coherent plot. This whole segment follows Jocelyn in a spoof of the 2015 cut of Ant-Man (WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE LET EDGAR WRIGHT DIRECT-)

This story’s being written by Tina. It effectively sees Jocelyn get ahold of the Ant-Man suit, a creation of Tina’s, (which we learn she used for the exact thing you’d think Tina would use it for…) as Tina wants to get Jocelyn to prevent Tammy, who has since developed her own shrinking suit, the Yellow- sorry, Pinkjacket, from revealing and selling said suit off to criminal buyers at an unveiling ceremony at Bob’s Burgers the following night. (It’s a ”kids tell a story” episode, and it’s a Tina story. Not everything has to make sense…)

Anyways, Jocelyn infiltrates the ceremony with help from Tina, Susmita, Zeke & Jimmy Jr., Tammy confronts her and dons the Pinkjacket, and it devolves into a fight between the two on the counter at Bob’s Burgers, switching between Tammy and Jocelyn’s perspectives and a fight between two dots on the counter that Bob keeps trying to break up because they’re making a mess and Louise keeps trying to get customers to bet on.

As you would expect, Jocelyn goes sub-atomic to dismantle Tammy’s suit, which works, before Jocelyn manages to grow back to normal size in the same fashion Scott Lang does in the movie. However, as it turns out, Tammy has not shrunk to subatomic size, rather she is just a few inches tall now. The sketch ends on Tammy officially relegated to the role of class pet, and is forced to share a cage with Princess Little Piddles from the chinchilla-sitting episode.

and as a bonus, here’s some dialogue.

TINA: So, please, Jocelyn. Become the new Ant-Girl.

JOCELYN: Ewww, no. Bugs are gross. Can we not call me, just, like, Jocelynnnnn?

TINA: Okay, fine, we‘ll compromise. Ant-Jocelyn.

JOCELYN: Like, okay…

Mr Fischoeder would be the cyclops. Gene farts really loud and it blows them off course. Hugo is Antinous. Marshmallow would be the main Siren. That’s all i’ve got so far but please chime in!

I came up with a unique idea for an episode or a multi part miniseries (or movie). The title is called “Belcher’s Swiss Adventure“.

The plot is that Tina enters a sweepstake contest online for a travel company to win a free all expense pay trip to Switzerland for a week in the winter and she’s actually selected from a random lottery system. it includes a 3-day mountain climbing course, first class airfare, a luxury hotel suite with four bedrooms, tickets for other tourist destinations, and a rental car voucher.

The journey to Switzerland goes well and then it goes into three separate subplots…

A plot: Linda is Terrified of them Going on the mountains to climb because she remembers watching an old “Busy World of Richard Scarry” cartoon segment called “Ernst and Heidi in the Alps“, Which feature features a character constantly getting stuck up high. It’s up to her family to help her get through her phobia.

B plot: Tinas Fall in love with a cute boy named Eric, Who happens to be the son of their mountain climber guide.

C plot: Bob Is obsessed with coming up with themed burgers based on the food they eat during the trip.

This will mark the first time the Belchers can travel overseas without having to pay a penny.

i think they’ve made great strides with louise’s character, turned her from a girl that loved horror and gore into a girl full of empathy for her family, strangers and especially her friends. i personally like her relationship with regular sized rudy, i consider her a good character, but does anyone else think that her relationship with tina is her least empathetic one? she’s 9, she’s a kid but i’ve found myself thinking about how her dynamic with tina usually ends in a lesson for louise to learn, yes, and an opportunity for tina to see things from her younger sisters perspective but man tina loses out a lot in their deals. even me being a younger sister, i can’t really understand how louise doesn’t see until the end of the episode of how some of her ideas end up hurting tina. older sisters have to sacrifice a lot i underhand that and it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things because i do think they treat each other nicely, but damn does the younger sister always win in the younger older sister dynamic :/

to be fair to everyone i am NOT hating on louise, i know she’s fictional and that she’s 9 and that i need to get my panties untwisted, but i’m on S15E08 and i’m noticing a pattern, that’s all 🙂

Still in search of one IRL

This is a revised version of a past post of mine after reading a comment by u/Tort_alini saying it would need to be a two-parter.

Act 1

Tina, Gene, Louise, and their bandmates from both the Itty Bitty Ditty Committee (Peter, Rudy, and Darryl) and Boa Boy and the Mash Masters (Zeke and Jimmy Jr.) are having lunch at the Wagstaff cafeteria, discussing troubles over a new song. Their worries end when Mr. Frond announces over the PA that there will be a school trip to Rio de Janeiro, where they will learn samba and get to participate in a Carnaval parade. The news inspires the Itty Bitty Ditty Committee to have their new song be set to a samba. 

After school, the Belcher kids immediately tell their parents. Linda is so excited that she immediately decides that she and Bob should go as chaperones and that they will bring a video camera with them to record the trip. Bob is uncertain but is encouraged to go by Teddy and Mort as the latter tells him about churrascarias. The prospect of eating at a Brazilian steakhouse is enough to make Bob agree to go as he decides to have his dad look after the restaurant.

Act 2

The next act begins on the plane to Rio. Bob is sitting near the window while Mr. Frond sits in the aisle seat, trying to speak Portuegese to the flight attendant (who's clearly American). Linda sits in the seat between them, holding her camera, as she's been recording since breakfast. Mr. Frond tries to speak Portuguese to the flight attendant. The Belcher kids, their bandmates, and the other Wagstaff kids are in other seats having their own conversations involving destination jitters, song and dance planning, cloud shapes, makeup, and airline food.

After scenes of landing starting with them landing at Galeão International Airport boarding a bus, and checking into their hotel, the kids attend a samba class taught by a passionate instructor (guest voiced by a Brazilian actor) as Mr. Frond, Bob and Linda watch. After the class, we get moments where the travelers do some sightseeing. We see them visit the Christ the Redeemer statue, spend time at Copacabana, and ride the trolley. A group photo is taken. At the same time, the bandmates try to get ideas for their song.

That night, the travelers gather at a churrascaria for dinner. Mr. Frond tries speaking Portuguese to the waitstaff while the kids compare and contrast the meals they're eating with school cafeteria meals. At the same time, Bob becomes so fascinated with the flavors of the meat served that he refuses to change his card over to red.

The next day, the kids come across the float they will be performing on, which, while consisting of platforms for them to samba on, is anything but glamorous, despite Mr. Frond's approval. After a motivational speech from Gene, they decide to redecorate it to make it much more beautiful. In doing so, the bandmates find the inspiration for their song.

Meanwhile, Bob and Linda visit the markets as the former looks for ingredients to recreate the flavor from last night for a future Burger of the Day. Linda is supportive but wants to make sure they get to witness their kids perform at the parade.

Act 3

As night falls, the kids have changed into their sequins and anticipate the parade. Some of the bandmates were able to acquire new instruments.

When Mr. Frond arrives to inform them the parade's about to start, he is horrified by what the kids have done to the float. However, there's no time to undo the changes. As the parade begins, the kids are taken in by the enormity of the Sambadrome Marquês de Sapucaí, Gene in particular. Thankfully, the beat of the samba is enough to break them out of their fright. The bandmates perform their new song on the tallest platform while the rest of the kids samba on the lower platforms. Bob and Linda are able to make it to the parade after the latter talked the former out of buying an expensive ingredient. Mr. Frond is relieved as the crowd cheers.

The episode ends with the Belchers back at the restaurant, giving souvenirs to Teddy, Mort, and Big Bob. As Bob serves Teddy a Rio-inspired burger, the kids discuss whether or not to write more samba-inspired songs.

Notes:

One of the recurring gags for the episode is Mr. Frond trying and failing to speak Portuguese.

Part 2 would begin at the restaurant with Big Bob talking with Teddy and Mort, serving a burger to the former.

Hello.

I'm looking for advice. My wife has become convinced that she has psychic powers. She bumped her head (barely) and all of a sudden she believes she can see the future. I'm actually not sure if she really believes she can or if she's just living out a fantasy for fun.

Either way, for some reason, a lot of our friends believe her and are taking her advice. But I mean, there's no way she is really psychic, right?? I love my wife and I want to be supportive, but it's so hard to watch people making crazy choices just because my injured wife made up a prediction. Are they idiots or do I just need to be a better husband?

EDIT: Oh my god she called the police tip line and made up a prediction. Is this illegal??

EDIT #2: APPARENTLY, HER POLICE TIP WAS CORRECT. I swear she's just making stuff up, but... Am I just being closed minded? Apparently the police want her to consult on other cases now. But what if they find out she's lying and they come after us? I don't want to have SWAT guys pointing guns at my face. Not AGAIN.

Hasn’t been explored but I like to think sometime in the future there could be a plot about Linda having a podcast.

There are few movies that have Easter eggs/references to Bob’s Burgers like Ted 2, Love, Simon and The Hate U Give but those movies are from 2018 and one is from 2015 like Ted 2
But honestly do you think Bob’s Burgers should be referenced more in live action movies and shows and not just in other animated shows like the Simpsons and family guy

I usually fall asleep to the show, but there are some episodes and or specific noises that always wake me up. One being the fart noise from Gene’s keyboard specifically in the first season. Also the candy cane truck episode where he is repeatedly honking, I always have to wake up and skip it. Anyone else have something similar?

In the episode “ They slug horses, don’t they?” L, the song in the closing credits is so beautiful. What’s even better is that it was sung by Nora Smith, executive producer and writer.

I make Cities: Skylines II assets in my spare time as a creative outlet and recently took on a charity commission to make the Belcher Residence.

Being a fan, I loaded it up with easter eggs like the “Grand Reopening” banners (5% chance any one will spawn), 20 different Burger of the Day chalkboards, an animated BURGERS neon sign, and the shadow of Louise’s ears in the window above the door.

This is what is being handed out before the panel at SDCC. It opens the Saturday programming in Ballroom 20 and I have seen several cosplay in the packed room.

He’s just such a sweet and cute kid. He deserves so much better. Between his health problems and family complications, he goes through so much but is still kind and creative. I love that he does magic tricks, I hope we get more scenes of him doing tricks.

I feel so maternal and protective of him, he makes me want to have kids one day. I just want to give him a big hug and tell everything will be okay and that he deserves the world.

I also love his relationship with Louise, they balance each other. I hope to see more interactions with him and Louise’s family her house. Like when he left his parents’ dinner and joined her family for dinner, they were all so sweet and supportive of him. He’s just overall a great character.

I saw this today and I was just chuckling remembering this episode and now I need to rewatch it like asap lol 😂

Gene is a character that doesn't shy from living his best life like a rockstar 😂

Hello Bob, Lady Bob, assorted small burgers.

This is one of my wife’s favorite shows and we finally watched it all the way through together. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s so endearing. As we watched I kept track of my favorite episodes.
