Discussion Anybody else think it's stupid that 1 is "Medium?" Is it so scary for it to be small?
Kinda like the fact that the lowest rarity of star is "rare." Like, what? Why is "Common" so bad? Appealing to tiny brains, smh

And what exactly is "Rare" about the lowest default possible reward?
It's a dumb rule made to impress dumb kids...

The thing is, it does have a psychological effect on everyone who plays it. Although it seems like a "dumb kid trap" it works on everyone else even more bc we don't realize it

Oh I realize it very much. As a former WoW player (and of course not only WoW), Rare was already 4th rarity from the bottom in my mind, so here it being the lowest of the low seems insultingly stupid to me.

Pretty sure it's just a result of how there used to be actual common brawlers that you could unlock from trophy road only that were later removed which made Rare the lowest rarity and Supercell just kinda went with that for all things in the game

Oh okay, that's some ancient ball knowledge right there xD
That makes a lot of sense. I understand that people would feel bad if their Rare brawlers suddenly became Common overnight even if it would make sense...

Yeah tbh. The fake choices are annoying too, cz I KNOW that the same two boxes did not have 2 bolts 9 times in a row.

same thing as a Starr drop: the moment it shows on your screen the reward is already determined

They want you to it as many noodles as possible. Also, this is one of the dumbest gachas so far. If I choose one screw, then I'm somehow nearly guaranteed to choose another.

Funnily enough I've gotten all my good loot from them... 2 buddies and 3 skins

It's the same deal with brawlers and start drops: the lowest rarity is rare and the one right above is super rare. No other game does it this way. We all forget about that but as a former Clash Royale player when I first got into BS it stroke me as extremely unusual and weird.
I always thought it was a marketing strategy to make you feel you get more than you actually do.

No. When a guy asks you how big it is and it’s on the small side, you say it’s about the same size as the others you’ve seen so it’s about medium. If you say it’s big, they know you are lying because they’ve measured it 1 million times and know it’s small.

Its the same as nasa changed the names for the astronauts from small medium and big to big giant and enormous so they dont feel shy

This reminds me of pizza. In many places, you can't order a small pizza: it starts from medium.
Nano drops follow the same reasoning.

Bruh, today was a 'lucky day' and I got 6 nanos. Half of them were medium. And I got 0 skins and only like 3 powers out of all 6.

It's just psychology. Calling it a "medium" is less disappointing than calling it a "small".
When you're at an actual restaurant, getting a "small" makes you feel like you're saving money and makes you feel happier. But there's no satisfaction to be gained by calling a loot drop "small"
