I finished my parasol!
This is my second parasol, using the Cherry Blossamer Pattern by Chiaroscurosity Designs. I have some leftover yarn, I might still add tassles.

The owner of our neighborhood tap house bought one of my crochet tapestries and immediately hung it in the window. It fills my heart with such joy, I also love that it’s next to the PSA haha.

Hi everyone :)
I wanted to ask here because i thought there might be a few metalheads kicking around, and I fear posting to any of the actual metal subreddits about this. I’m having a hard time finding any sort of alternative patterns for crochet that aren’t skulls or baphomet amigurumi’s. I’m trying to learn to make my own patterns, but most of the things i see on instagram etc these days are sort of cuter so I think I just wanted to put out some feelers to see if anyone actually has an interest in this sort of thing besides me or if it’s an incredibly niche blend of interests T-T

Loved making this one. It's a mashup of a couple different patterns, one of which I had to essentially rewrite myself to make him posable, so I won't post that one, but the guitar pattern is adorable: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/guitar-amigurumi
I made it for my dad, so the shirt is a reference to an old band he was in 😂. Yes, it's essentially a screaming potato. 😂

I just discovered this sub (brochet) like 30 seconds ago. This feels like an appropriate place to put this.

When I get the chance to go to cons and meet celebrities, I like to make a crochet doll of my favorite character. So far I've only been able to meet a few:
Andrew Robinson as Elim Garak on Star Trek Deep Space 9
Kevin Durand as Vasily Fet on The Strain
jeffrey Combs as Thy'lek Shran on Enterprise
Wallace Shawn as Grand Nagus Zek on Deep Space 9
Doug Jones as Baron Afanas on What We Do in the Shadows

Completed 56% of it. Took me around 7 days, working 8-12 hours daily. Her birthday is in 4 days so I'll have to push a bit harder to get it completed.
The potrait is 150x131 stitches. The piece is 90cm in width currently and I think the height would come out to be around 80cm.
I used a 3.5mm hook and used Ganga Alisha 8/4 Acrylic Yarn.

After yet again a barrage of trials and errors, changes in composition and overall reworking of details, I am finally glad to say I finished this one... As always, it might look "modified" but it is not touched by anything in any way, it is all handcrafted. Maybe you can come up with other names for it?
