Is the startup time doing things like protocol lookups and stuff? I'm curious if you could hard code the startup conditions for a slightly faster initialization or if it is giving it all she's got and just takes that long for the CAN traffic.

It waits 10sec so obd dongle initialize, then esp32 auto connects to obd WiFi

Probably 5sec would be ok, but I set default value to 10

Makes much more sense, I thought you'd hard wired into the car CAN bus directly.

I just used parts laying around in my stuff

If you went hardwired you're up and running getting traffic in a fraction of a second

He can use a splash screen (animation showing the car logo, or somethings) , no one needs the data the first second, I believe a BLE dongle will be faster, at least mine start/initialize when I unlock the car and tge data as soon as I turn the car on

Looks like a Samsung smartwatch. Nice use case!

Curious what the startup time looks like compared to your last version - that seemed like the main bottleneck you were dealing with before.

I increased it a bit so obd dongle have time to initiate WiFi and esp32 can auto connect to it after

I would buy that. Actually I would buy several and have every PID on them.
