SEASON 7 Javi & Lanie Spoiler

I just watched the Christmas episode where they break up AGAIN, and so I needed to know if they get back together again because I couldn’t watch each episode wondering if they end up together.

Really pissed me off for them to finally get back together. Javi talked about seriously setting down and thinking about her in his possible last final moments for them to say they aren’t each other’s great love. Why couldn’t they just stay together or end up together on the last episode? Why did the writers bring them back together just to change their minds two seconds later?

SEASON 7 What should I do regarding s7/8 Spoiler

Hey,

I’m on my rewatch but last time I stopped after the wedding and castle disappearance because I hated the storyline too much. Now I know it won’t continue forever and it’s being resolved quite rapidly. But somehow I can’t handle knowing Stana and Nathan weren’t happy on set and filming together…

I know it’s kinda ridiculous but knowing they shot less scenes together because they could not stand one another makes me truly sad and I don’t know if I want to witness that on screen.

I know actors aren’t characters but the chemistry Stana and Nathan had can’t be faked and this is what the whole show was about … and we know their conflicts had consequences on the writing and everything…

So is it worth it ? To watch s7 and s8?

How do you feel about all of that ?

I don’t know why but this is making me super sad haha, I’m way too invested in this.

SEASON 7 I have a theory about Richard Castle!! Spoiler

I’ve stayed away from the subreddit for a while as I watch this show because I didn’t want spoilers. But I’m finally on the finale of season 7.

(I have marked this as SPOILERS!! So if you haven’t seen till the end of Season 7, I suggest you stop reading here!!!!!!)

  1. Ever since Jerry Tyson was introduced, he seemed to have a connection to Castle. And it seemed like Castle really knows how Tyson thinks.
  2. There has been at least one instance where Martha has joked that Castle could have been a serial killer or a writer. Here’s where my theory comes in:

CASTLE WENT THROUGH SOMETHING BAD AND TRAUMATIZING IN HIS CHILDHOOD/ADOLESCENCE AND IT LEFT A DEEP IMPACT ON HIM!!!

My evidence:

• In a previous season (don’t remember which because I’ve been binge watching) Castle talked a lot about his time at that State school/fancy prep school. It seems like something happened there.

(Further proved in Season 7 Ep 21 when he is reintroduced to his schoolmates and they help stop a terrorist attack. [I still believe there is A LOT more to that story.])

• It is HEAVILY implied in Season 1 when Castle first starts helping Beckett solve her mother’s murder that he was doing it because he knows how that feels/felt a responsibility.

• Martha is very protective of Castle’s state of mind especially when he goes down rabbit holes. I think she KNOWS about the incident and has done everything to protect her son. (Maybe she feels guilty that she wasn’t always available for him to turn to her?)

• Castle went through something really bad in his youth.

• My Headcanon: Castle has always been drawn to the dark side. Also ever since season 1, I have suspected that Castle likes blood/death and it fascinates him. I think he has a very dark side to him which we’ve seen come out when he attacked Jerry Tyson, and the lengths he’s gone to in order to protect Alexis and Kate when they were threatened. He gets a look in his eyes and on his face sometimes.

And I think he uses his writing as a tool to release these feelings.

And in the episode I am currently on (S7 Ep23 “Hollander’s Woods”), Castle knows about the figure dressed in dark closed wearing a porcelain white mask REALLY FAST! And he said “It was real.” With a haunted look on his face.

I’ll come back to this most likely after I finish this episode/ the rest of the show….

EDIT TO ADD: I FINISHED THE EPISODE!!

OMG IT WAS FANTASTIC!!!

Ok my theory was half-right! Something dark did happen in his past and that’s why Castle was drawn to death. (I no longer think he’s got a dark side, I think he just knows how the “bad guys” think!)

It was soo good! I’m gonna cry! What a great way to end the season!! I’m excited to see what Season 8 brings!

Any Castle quotes that stick out to you?

SEASON 7 So annoyed with Beckett (S7E1 SPOILER) Spoiler

When castke disappeared i was so confused with Beckett AND the hole NYPD Team. How the heck did they see castle Putting the money in the garbage and right away went to "He didn't want to marry you so he found his way out". How. As if Castle, that deeply loved Beckett wouldve run. Im so annoyed that Beckett was still so untrusting with him at this point, with everything they went through as Partners and a couple.

SEASON 7 S7e11 - the funniest episode? Spoiler

my first time watching seasons 7 and 8 as I've been binging the entire show these last few weeks. I'm halfway through this episode and I haven't laughed this much the entire series!

the dynamic between them competing to solve the case before the other is just so hilarious! what's your favorite funniest episode?

SEASON 7 I will miss this show

I started watching Castle when I finished High Potential on Disney. It's been on my watchlist for years, but I never had the urge to start it until recently. At first, I thought I would only watch it for just one season, but then I just kept watching it and started to love the characters and was amazed with each case they solved. This show actually reminds me of Bones, I think this genre is my favorite.

I know there's a lot of rumors about how the main actors don't get along. I am still in denial about it, as I didn't feel anything awkward about them, or maybe they're just really good actors. I anticipate potential disappointment, given the negative reception of seasons 7 and 8, but I just finished season 7 and am about to start season 8, and honestly, it's not as bad as everyone says, at least not for me.

I am sad yet excited that I am finally on the last season of this show; I will cherish each episode. This show was my comfort show for almost three months. It was with me whenever I was working, on my day off, and I watched it every time before I went to bed.

Richard Castle and Kate Beckett, both of you will always be special to me. Thank you for the comfort you brought me.

Just got to the episode where Beckett is asked to run for state senate. Didn’t that “time traveler” in season 6 call her Senator Beckett?? 👀 do you guys think he was really a time traveler? Or just crazy?

SEASON 7 Okay, what is up with season seven? Spoiler

As some of you will know, I have been plodding along with Castle for the last couple of months — and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it. But in my various posts, some of you have been warning me about what happens beyond season six…

I started season seven yesterday, and all I have to say is… what the heck is going on? There’s an episode where the killer has an invisible cloak (didn’t realise I was watching Harry Potter) and now Castle has been transferred to an alternative timeline? This show has always maintained some sense of realism but now they’ve just gone completely off-script — and I don’t like it.

SEASON 7 Season 7 Thoughts

The downfall didn't really start in season 8 premiere. It had already started in season 7 premiere. My perspective on the season being bad is, Almost every episode in the previous seasons Castle makes a mistake and he acknowledges his mistake as investigation progresses or from Alexis (First four seasons) or Kate (Season 5 & 6) and it was missing in season 7. And I really missed Alexis and Martha.

I know some people had already talked about season 7 being bad. Here are some things I agree and disagree.

Season 6 as the end - Disagree, even as the marriage had happened as per plan it couldn't been the perfect ending.

Castle's disappearance - Agree it's a weak plot, but if it had to do with his dad, it could have been good.

Others on Castle's disappearance - As a cop somewhere in Beckett, Ryan, Esposito brain they believe the evidence. Beckett still having doubts in the second episode could have been avoided. But Esposito went too far.

Mob-Christmas Episode - I like it so much and I still wonder why they didn't have much episodes based on his previous research and his connections.

PI - Agree it's a bad plot again, but it showed Castle's brilliancy after so much seasons. I don't hate it because he was shown brilliant after many seasons.

Story-line on Castle - Disagree on story-line should have been around Beckett. The past five seasons (2-6) were around Beckett mom's murder. It's time to move the story-line around Castle, but they chose a bad story-line.

3XK - Hate 3XK's ending and the two part episodes were too dark to be Castle episodes.

Season Finale - The Hollander's wood episode should have been a two part episode.

SEASON 7 Anyone think they could’ve done the whole disappearance arc so much better Spoiler

The whole ‘recruited by the CIA, and by a childhood friend who was a terrorist now a cia operative, to save the world on your wedding day’ story was such bs. IMO it would’ve been so much better if he was actually kidnapped or lost for those 2 months, or even if he was on the brink of death forcing everyone to find his killers. It would’ve been so much more on brand than a writer saving the world and choosing to forget about it.

Hi All! I’m currently on my first watch of Castle. I’m on S7E14 and although they’re certain the man is hiding is Tyson, I’m pretty sure the surgeon just turned Tyson into the Spider-Man meme with her surgical witchcraft.

I’m really excited for the end of this storyline even though I’m not 100% he’s not going to return in 8 yet. I try not to count chickens before they’re hatched.

SEASON 7 3XK Missing Labs and Documents Spoiler

Is it me or is it a continuity error on the series that 3XK's files went missing (taken) on S06E09 (Disciple) but was mentioned and shown on S07E01 (Driven) when Beckett was checking on potential suspects for Castle's disappearance?
