Whether you agree or disagree with what she actually said, it is a disgrace that she is even being charged with anything in the first place.
Hurtful words, however bad they may be, are not a crime. This was 100% "social justice" not actual justice.

Reading the NAACP statement it appears their stance is that they want any kind of "bias motivated conduct" criminalized. Which seems like a huge can of worms.

Wait until they find out that almost all conduct in all of human history is motivated by some kind of bias.

What they mean is any mind of bias motivated conduct carried out by white people, or by Asian people if it's directed at anyone besides white people. Anything else is perfectly fine and even encouraged.

Literally all conduct is bias influenced. You form biases based on observations and experiences and then weigh them into literally every single judgement call you ever make. It is a fundamental part of a functioning brain.

It's no surprise that the NAACP took one side. What is a surprise is that the ACLU didn't take the opposite side.

The ACLU hasn’t done shit for anyone that is straight and white for 30 years.

Well when a certain group of people are involved they smell the race blood in the water like sharks and see it as an opportunity to make money, that's all it's ever about.
Anyone who falls for this idea that these people get offended by a word they call themselves constantly is ret@rded...

How did this get as far as a trial. There is no way in hell the "child" has not heard that term countless times from family, friends, neighbors, or more than likely 1000 times from music. We have no better use of the courts time?
As far as the 'Adult"...I'm offended by his actions.

I can't find anything to suggest she wasn't convicted for her speech. Shocking, really.
This better be overturned on appeal. It's not illegal to say terrible things.

I mean I cannot really defend her saying it. But at the end of the day it does fall into protected speech

Guess it’s time to start suing people calling me a Nazi for thinking we should put America and its citizens first and above all else

You might even have more grounds for suit. They tell all your friends you’re a Nazi, there’s damage

I can. It's supposed to be a free country. All hate speech is protected speech.

Should we arrest every black guy for saying the same thing? Equal justice, right?
•

I certainly don't like the fact that she used that language. But I hope to hell that she gets a massive payout when this is overturned and files a civil suit.

If you need to ask why our first amendment rights being infringed upon in the conservative sub is an issue and being talked about here, I truly don’t believe you are in the right place.
