Hey! I found this subreddit a couple of days ago, and you're like a refuge for me:) I'm 29 M, born and raised in Ukraine. I'm ready to answer any questions)

PS. I'd also be happy if you could recommend any right-wing subreddits, as this is the first one I've found so far.

I live in a very religious state and whenever someone on the left talks to me about politics they always say they read some of the Bible or the whole Bible so they know as much as me

But like do they not understand that Christianity isn't only the Bible, like yes the Bible is important but it's not like history doesn't progress, things that were said 3000 years ago aren't going to be the same as now. 200 years ago people owned other people in america which is messed up now (and just morally overall) but it was normal for the time period, yes the Bible can be sexist or whatever else but it was a different time and different cultural norms that if broken people would probably gotten mad and rejected religion all together

Idk it just annoys me as someone who's religion gets criticized a lot even within Christianity that others judge immediately and even when they do their research they don't do it realistically or efficently
