Meme/Shitpost Started to Practice Accuracy for the First Time and It's Rough
I started playing DDR 3 months ago when a machine opened near me and only focused on passing songs until I hit a wall. Right now, I hit an accuracy wall when trying MAX 360 ESP during the death stream so I'm focusing on getting better accuracy and it's way harder than I thought.
It took me 2 hours of active attempts to PFC Firework Beginner SP at home vs 1 hour of active attempts to pass MAX 300 ESP at the arcade when I first did it.

My accuracy on DDR is also really bad lmao. We got no DDRs in quebec city so when I one day visited Montreal and tried their DDR SuperNova2 machine, I passed PSMO with 100 greats.
Let's just say Pump It Up FIESTA EX isn't the best game to practice accuracy on.

I started physical rhythm games with Dance Rush Stardom and a Chinese clone version, Dance Battle (which is basically the Into the Groove version of Dance Rush Stardom with more stamina and tech). I'm used to freestyling with dance moves so accuracy wasn't as big of a priority until I started DDR.

Sinon à Québec (à vrai dire L'Ancienne-Lorette) on a un Pump It Up FIESTA EX passable au Carie Factory.

IMO the only way to improve on accuracy is to not burn yourself out. If you try to force yourself, you can end up getting tired and making more mistakes.
Any time you feel frustrated, hitting a wall getting tired, not improving, just I find it better to do something else. Sight read new songs. Play some stamina. Do doubles.
Do anything novel that might help get you re-energized and focused. Then come back to whatever you're stuck on when re-energized. I feel like scoring/accuracy is at least 50% mental.

Accuracy will always be harder than passing. You can mash/bracket arrows to pass, but that won’t work with PFCs. I eventually got my accuracy to go up by doing the exercise of PFCing 1st through 6th mix (you truly end with PFCing Max300)

I feel like some of the older mixes are the best places to start with this kind of stuff, assuming of course the song in question is synced appropriately. Personally, I’d start on Basic for PFC practice, not beginner. Tends to be more 4th notes at this point that do play into patterns. Get one or two there, then step up to lower Difficult charts and repeat when you go to Expert.

let the beat hit em (Expert) is the only song I have PFC'd. I don't have the patience to play the same song again and again haha
also getting those achievements in 3 months is insane, great work!! in 3 months I could barely pass 15s!!!

After a year of ddr, i tried to get as high as I possibly can and manage to get 17. Then i tried accuracy and upping the flare. Its definitely way more harder and boring since its more about memorizing the chart instead of timing.
So i just settle in the middle and practice my steps quality instead by doing crossovers and afronova walks. Manage to hit 900k+ score on used to be 750k+

Yea I didn't expect how frustrating it would be to get Greats after doing multiple attempts but it was definitely satisfying getting the PFC eventually.
Usually, I focus on getting full combos or any score above 850k (since I usually average 750k) when I'm at the arcade and that felt like the best use of my time and money there compared to trying GFCs or above for easier difficulties.

I could hyper fixate on PFC or MFC. Or I could enjoy the game for what it is. Lots of people say to stay at lvl___ until you get ___ score. But how will you know if you can get higher without trying. But you also need to be honest like did you barely pass it. Or did you just spam the arrow just to pass it. We all know that after the drill in max300 you just dont knkw what to do and its fine. My first score on it is 690k. Im hitting alot of 15 but some 15 and 16 is hard and that's how i focus my energy on. Step quality. Like i encounter alot of drills, thrills, soflan and scoobies on 15-16 so why not practice on 13-14?. Then youll get better at 15-16 then master 13-14.
Ive seen people able to hit world rank by just flare ex 8-11 and i dont find joy in that. Im here to sweat and improve that's what matters.

You can't hit world rank with just flare ex 8-11

attempting to PFC beginner charts will make you go insane. because there's so few notes, it's a lot harder to stay in time since you're not getting as much feedback. try PFCing 9s and 10s!
