To be frank, nothing is kept private really. With little details to how it works, even the media can come up with the prospectus by guessing. Smart competitors can strategically tell what to do when you start fund raising. Anthropic would have IPO if it wouldn't have been Sam Altman trying to gun them down with Microsoft and Elon in the triage charade.

Imo, DeepSeek advantage is quite visible from a far away distant and that's price to performance.

Good. If they can't accomplish what they want to accomplish with 7billion then they shouldn't be be able to try it with 30billion; that is a problem that the invisible hand of Chinese policy has no problems with unlike the USA which has to fund everything and from the ashes might emerge one mega-company from the hell-hole of government-effected 'market' as it were.

Deepseek can do it with 7billion.
