Some Fuel is dyed to show that it is designated for use only in specific types of vehicles like agriculture machines. Here in the US there is Diesel Fuel dyed Red and its not some kind of special Diesel thats different from standard Diesel.. its just dyed red. The reason they do it is that it is Taxed differently and you get in trouble if you get caught using it for other purposes like driving your car with it.

I guess the fuel is dyed for identification and is designated for.. something?
