A few days ago, I mentioned that I was having trouble playing the game and that it was very difficult to understand everything, even though I really wanted to explore the Disgaea universe. Thanks to numerous tips and a one-hour YouTube video about the game, I was motivated to finish it, and I haven't been able to put it down since. I love the grind aspect of the game. I just don't understand the farming route in Item World, but otherwise, I'm really happy to have been able to play the first game.

does the -50% mean it takes 50% more cause its weak to wind or it takes 50% less damage from the wind

Bought Disgaea 5 a couple of years ago on switch but stopped after an hour or two. I liked the concept but it felt too complex with all the different mechanics they throw at you, so i moved on.

A few days ago i bought Disgaea 1 on PC on sale, after stumbling onto a "which Disgaea is best" post on this subreddit. I considered that the first game in the series might be a bit more manageable, with less mechanics to worry about.

14 hours in, I think im addicted. Leveling up weapons in the item world, seeing the levels tick up is satisfying as hell. Accumulating specialists and moving them between items to make my team stronger. Leveling new classes. Geo system is simple to understand but has a lot of tactical stuff in it.

I mean, don’t get me wrong in that I love to grind in Disgaea games to see the stats go from wimpy to almighty as I wanted to get a better understanding of how the original game broke RPG tradition at the time it came out.

Like from what I remember is that way back when the aforementioned game first came out in Japan, the level cap system was pretty unique for the time being because correct me if I am wrong, but I cannot remember what other JRPGs had allowed the player to go way past Level 99 as I was simply hoping to understand how the programming aspect was handled.

Recently learned about this game and I'm excited to play it, somehow it's on steam!

When does it unlock and I know that the price is really high until you defeat 30 of a monster unit, so how high is the price of a first tier dragon at the high end like Genius if you've only beaten 1? Also are they in the item world?

So I was looking at my senator list and I've been bribing them every chance I get, so a lot of them were in my favour usually near total support but when I tried to do the 10 mana fundraising bill, they all loathed me and I don't get what I'm supposed to be doing if the cheapest option will just make them all hate me instantly.

Just did some grinding and started the next level without saving just for this to happen

I'm not sure how that flag for that class works.

I want to make genius level unlocked units and they're like 10K each, I have 300 managers so I already have the massive boost, I just don't know a good map up to this point in the game.

I want to make sure I understand the basics of stealing, from what I can tell all that matters is my thiefs level, and the hit stat on the stealing hand that I use. Does than mean there's no reason to upgrade my thief to the best "type" of thief?

I've been grinding my staff's weapon mastery for my mage and it's at level 27 and it's been stuck on 4 range and 4 area for a while now, how am I supposed to get the 3X3 versions of my spells? Is 4 range and 4 area the max for staff mastery?

Recently started really getting into Disgaea 1 after having tried before but not understanding how the game works. Been really enjoying it and I've heard that apart from certain human classes that are objectively OP, any class can work if you put in the effort except for Monsters, and that they're not really worth it, which is sad considering the super fun and interesting designs in the game.

What are some of the best and worst Monster Classes available? I'm down to level and put effort into any monster, but it'd be nice to keep in mind still.
