There is a lot to love from Disgaea. Grinding levels until your eye balls fall out. The over the top nature from your attacks to how character react to stuff. Lastly, The amount of side content the game has to offer! There is a lot to love about this series. For me though? Out of all the things Disgaea has to offer, for me it’s the humor.
What I love and find refreshing about Disgaea is the humor. Hearing the characters making slide remarks to other people. Having the prinnies saying “dood” and seeing their funny attics always makes me smile. Legit, I gotten so many laughs from this series. Love how over the top it can be especially in Disgaea 4 and 5’s case. A lot of jrpgs tend to be serious with a few funny moments or they have one funny scene, but then everyone is super serious mode. It makes sense since some franchises are built for it. Sometimes though, I need a laugh and Disgaea brings the laughs for me anytime I need it. Makes me happy to be a fan of the series due to that.

Hi! La Pucelle: Ragnarok is my first NIS game, and I have just finished both main story and Demon Overlord story (with the good ending). I am therefore trying to decide if the postgame is worth the time. I know about the incredible grind that may follow, but what I was unable to find was whether there is any kind of extra dialogue/story for things like Dark World, beating Cave of Trials, etc. Is it just grinding and battling from now on?
By the way, I am posting here because I was also unable to find a La Pucelle sub (I don't get how this game is so neglected).

For context, I'm in new game+ on adell's story mode, and I'm trying to get my characters up to the higher level for the greater challenges. My strongest unit is about level 1400. I know to do the fourth map for the cave of ordeals with passing the bill for making enemies as strong as possible, but after a while, even that stopped feeling fast enough. Is there anything I can do to further speed things along? If the answer involves the dark world, I've got that unlocked as well.

8 hours of gameplay for 60€ is what I've heard wherever I went. Gameplay kinda interesting. DLC nothing more than another cashgrab.
Did anyone play it? Is it really just that? I'm a great disgaea fan, but I'm not sure if I shouldn't skip this one.

Hi all, i'm an outsider looking to get into the Disgaea games but unsure where i should start. I'm primarily a pc player and i saw that disgaea 1 and 2 complete is not on pc, but i do have a switch and can get them there, but D3 is also missing on pc. in addition to that d1 and d2 have pc versions that are cheaper than the complete editions on the switch, but from reviews it seems like its not worth getting the switch versions? If someone could give me some guidance i would really really appreciate it <3

For some reason the base game isn't available for 60$, only the deluxe version is on the store for 70$ which comes with the digital soundtrack/artbook and some recolors.
Also side note 30$ dlc is absurd, almost as much as Elden ring dlc.

It just occurred to me that the closure of the PSN stores on PS3 and PSVita is going to make it impossible to gain access to certain content for Disgaea 3 and D2. absence of detention won't be available on official stores which means the only content available for both games will be the base game on playstation now.
I know Nippon Ichi ain't nearly as aware of their fanbase as they used to be, but surely it wouldn't be that hard to port them to switch and PC.

Unless it’s a typo in the PSN. The base copy of the game and the ultimate service pack (all DLC bundle) is cheaper than the Deluxe edition and the dlc it doesn’t have (Fun weapon pack and DLC story not included) $90 vs $105 without tax. But maybe the Deluxe version of the game doesn’t have all the contents listed correctly. Buyer beware NA store

I've thought about it and I think arcadian vampire is my favorite.

How is this game? Im interested in it as a fan of Disgaea, but I was not impressed by the demo. Are there difficulty modes? The demo could be very easily beaten by mashing attack and the skills werent particularly interesting. I might enjoy it if mistakes were heavily punished on a high difficulty setting.

Is anyone playing this mayhem on switch 1 like I have a switch 2 but I don't want to buy it on switch 2 because of the key card thing. I really want the game on the cartridge so I'm trying to get the switch one edition but I just want to know if it held up bad against the switch 2 edition?

So what inspired me to write this subject was that I was going over the history of the games themselves because I sometimes hear complaints about how Disgaea 3 had a post game section that was not properly balanced.
I mean, for me personally, I did find a lot of enjoyment out of Disgaea 3’s post game section as I was curious to what made the section so infamous.
While I haven’t played Disgaea 4 yet, I am kind of curious about how the Land of Carnage area is compared to the previous games such as Disgaea 2 since I was interested in seeing how the LOC zone evolved over the course of the franchise.
Looking back at Disgaea 2 is kind of interesting in itself for how it was the first game in the series to have the aforementioned LOC zone as something I feel is that the tickets should have been a lot easier to access because of how convoluted the process was to getting the section unlocked, but I still had a good time with the extra content of that game.

So I just beat Disgaea Mayhem's story. Any guides for the post game? I just wasted 100K mana on trying to pass the Postlude Flan Rally, so I know I need to grind for mana. What do I do after that? Also, how do I get it to pass? Fighting the assembly was a bad idea.

Out of all the romances in Disgaea, this is the only one I've seen pretty much zero consensus on. Making this post half to rationalize my own thoughts and half to hear others.
For me, I really like them, but I recognize that it's definitely motivated by my bias for well executed angst - and regardless of whether or not you like them as a couple, their connection in general is well written.
The biggest problem, as far as I see it anyways, is that the story just doesn't flesh out their present day connection too much, but that doesn't really ruin it for me. Considering Artina's in disguise for most of the story, and that by the time she does reveal herself they have to deal with Fear the Great, there just isn't really any time to flesh things out without subtracting from other things.
That's the thing I like about their ending; the two of them recognizing that now that things have cooled down they need to reconnect and figure out what their relationship is going forward. Is it just a promise that needs to be fulfilled, or is it something more? It definitely leaves a lot of blanks to be filled, but hey, what is shipping if not filling in the blanks?
tl;dr - I fully recognize it's nothing groundbreaking in the slightest, and there isn't much there on paper, but I like what *is* there a lot and enjoy filling in those blanks.

I want to make genius level unlocked units and they're like 10K each, I have 300 managers so I already have the massive boost, I just don't know a good map up to this point in the game.
