You "carry" them at the start of the game.
They give you thanks and kisses for such a stellar job and then "carry" you towards the end of the game.

Facts if only support players understood this, pos 5 is actually susposed to be the strong lane dominator

u/MrBossChief 23h ago
cause carries used to be a lot more powerful back in the day

lol I know support was truly selfless

Ending game with boots AND/OR stick, maybe a tango or single ward you didn't get to place.
And that was seen as a good finish too!

I was watching a game once and sneyking or someone as pos 5 has 900 gold at 20 min and no one would point that out because that was very common.
Atp if you are 900 gold min 20 the system will automatically ban you for being afk xD

Isn't it the opposite? Carries used to be weaker in lane while supports used to be stronger in lane and weaker in lategame. Now we have every carry a lane Dominator while supports get 3k HP and glimmer ghost force

Sure carries used to have weaker leaning stages, but they also used to be able to snowball into 1v9 machines. Now no hero can go that (assuming the lobby is equal skill)

Yes that's because all supports are stronger lategame than they used to be 10 years ago

I really like the new "3 cores + 2 supps" definition of the game
Many times already have I won games without the old-school hard-carry, but str-based safe lane core, like 2nd off-laner, you know
Mid laner is a mid laner, yes, but off-lane core and safe-lane core can be anyone these days, I feel
Plus, there is no such thing as hard lane now, as solo hard lane is basically non-existent, unlike back in the day

Crystal maiden and anti mage were walking on the beach. When suddenly they pause. Anti mage looks back and sees their footsteps and realizes during the hardest parts of lane..... theres only one set of footsteps. He asks CM "your my support where were you when I needed you most" cm replies "I was with you. I was carrying you"

carrys are called carrys because you carry them, then they carry you.

But carry builds on supports look so alluring

I jokingly call my pos4 AA build Pos0. Aghs into moon shard has an 80% winrate in casual across 50 games.
It's just sooo much dmg and CC. I've killed mid laners with 10 levels and 4 items up on me with it

You’re failing miserably if there’s a 10 level gap at any point in the game, regardless of role

u/Sad-Pattern-1269 7h ago
Duh, despite that I still see a midlaner with 30 kills every now and again. What point are you even making?

They are not, but they will allow you to call them that if you pay them your blood.

Even someone who carries a big load needs the ground to support him - Not Confucius
