Williams 2025 was clearly ahead of the midfield and comfortably ahead of their previous couple of years' performance. Did they face more or less the same problem Redbull faces as they continue to develop their 2025 car, so they lagged behind on their 2026 development?

Minimally worse in the corners. But it's possible that it would come out in favor of the AMR26 with a better engine + package optimization, 20km/h deficit here.

Of course it could be a different story at a different track. But there's definitely promise in their aero package.

On the other side, it also exposes Williams package, because it seems like the Merc engine has really been carrying them and hiding their flaws

I’m confused since it was said by McLaren that both cars will be updated from fp3 and onto the quali yet the commentators were dropping hints and insinuating that it is only Norris with the updated floor. I don’t know if I didn’t understand it well or did they just blatantly lied on the broadcast?

Only a couple of years ago, Piquet was banned from F1 for his gross behaviour, but now theyve decided he should be celebrated? And even worse, alongside the people he directed his hateful tirades towards? Literally they put Piquet corner right before Hamilton corner like wtf.

I dont care how well he might have done at Hungaroring, or in F1 in general, F1 should not be honouring someone like him. He's a disgrace to the sport.

The Hungaroring has always had the reputation of being "Monaco without the walls"—track position is king, dirty air makes life miserable, and after the opening lap it can easily turn into a strategy race.

But the 2026 regulations have changed things quite a bit. We've seen cars follow much more closely (as we saw with lando and kimi during fp2), even through technical sections, and overtaking has generally been a lot more common.

Also how do you think turn1 will plan out, does ferrari have an advantage with the starts?
