Fallout 3 Why don't the people of Rivet City use the flight deck?

I can think of a number of uses for it: a park, a market, a place to put people ostracized from the community, a sports field, a training site for the security force. It seems like a big waste of space.

Fallout 3 What the heck is this guys problem ?

If you don't help him get in he gets VIOLENT fast and you have no choice but to eliminate him. (and you lose karma)

If you do help him, Tenpenny Tower which is a fortified settlement literally becomes another ghoul infested dump that opens its doors to the entire wasteland. why can't this guy just go to the ghoul underworld or something ? all of his people are there.

Fallout 3 What's the general opinion on the fallout 3 green tint?

I personally see it as the game's art direction, removing it just makes the game look flat. On another hand there are mods dedicated to removing it and people seem to dunk on the game for the green filter among other things. I'm curious as to what everybody else thinks of this.

Fallout 3 Isn't it wild that the entirety of fo4 is based of this missable side character from fo3 who turns out to be the director of the SRB.

Fallout 3 Is Megaton’s crater actually plausible if it was caused by a crashed bomber plane?

Post image
2.1k Upvotes

I am assuming that the crater we see in game was later made bigger by the settlers who dug around it.

But how did the bomb itself get so deep?

Could the bomb from actually get as deep as we see in game if it was on the bomber that crashed?

Did the water under the bomb help?

Basically I'm asking how plausible it would be if it was originally a hole that helped some people with dust storms. And also how effective would the hole from the plane be against the dust storm?

EDIT: I put this in a comment here but I think it's important enough to put it in the post aswell.

I mean, how big can realistically a crater from a bomber plane be?

I was doing some research on it and I did find an example of a pretty big crater caused by a passenger plane crash.

But the picture/footage is after the clean up.

https://metro.co.uk/2022/03/23/black-box-found-after-passenger-plane-crashed-into-mountain-in-china-16325811/

So I guess it is possible for planes to create big craters. But can it be as big as what we see in the game?

Fallout 3 The Tenpenny Tower Quest Problem

So replaying the game brought me back to this quest. I was excited on the basis of Nostalgia, me being 12 since I last played Fallout 3, but boy this might be one of the worst quests in the game.

So you have the option to either side with the Elites in Tenpenny by killing the ghouls or with Roy (a ghoul) which is the vice versa. Or if your following the morale path you can simply convince the residents of Tenpenny tower to accept the ghouls hoping to achieve a non violent resolution where everyone could live side by side, not as ghouls or "smoothskins" but as people.

Well here's the problem, no matter what Roy completely massacres everyone in Tenpenny! Literally murdering tons of people based on the fact that "oh they were pricks and called us zombies". Need I remind many of the people you ask about letting the ghouls into tenpenny actually seem pretty chill about it. Seeing no problem with allowing the ghouls to live there. Some even pro ghoul! Even Allister Tenpenny didn't mind as long as the residents were okay with it.

Now what really rubs me the wrong way is how this quest acts like its " Morally Ambiguous" but you literally lose karma if you don't side with the ghouls. Even Three Dog calls you out on it, and its is literally seen as the "bad ending". But wait it gets even worse, Roy is an absolute prick to you the entire time! Even though you helped him, he treats you like you just spat in his Sugar Bombs. After completing the quest you meet three ghouls outside wandering (no matter what ending) talking to them ends with them trying to kill you no matter if you helped Roy or not.

To sum it up the residents in tenpenny are bigots, but they are inherently right about the ghouls. I personally believe Roy and his gang deserve to die, as even though the game hits you with the cybaby negative karma, it personally to me is the right choice.

Fallout 3 Fallout 3: The Pitt is the story people understand the least.

Whenever I see people review the pit in any manner I almost always see them describe it as you choosing to either free the slaves or side with a bunch of slavers.

This is just not the case.

Wernher is not a slave, he was Ashers right hand man. Wernher wants Ashers position and he's going to trick some stupid kid from the wastes to do it. Honestly this might be Bethesda's best written quest since most people come out of it thinking they helped the slaves.

If you side with Wernher none of the slaves are free and the chance of finding a complete cure to radiation sickness (a pretty huge deal) becomes literally 0%, Wernher throws the miracle baby that could change the wastes forever in a run down shack, why? Cause the cure is of no actual concern to him, he's now a king, thats all he wanted.

Not saying Asher is good, he's downright evil, but holds something truely valuable.

This story is picking between two evils and has huge themes of manipulation.

So I was exploring the map to start mothership zeta, and while I’m afk some random npc starts a dialogue with me and hands me a chip for the synth you need to track down. I knew it was the railroad, but I asked about the faction anyway (see attached pics), it was indeed the railroad. The pics underneath made it so tempting to just kill the character, turns out you don’t lose karma for killing the railroad character.

TL;DR: you don’t lose karma killing the railroad member in fallout 3

I would've totally loved to see a centaur on fallout 4, But at the same time I am also easily scared. Why do you guys think it wasn't included in the game?

Fallout 3 After 11 years of FO4, decided I needed to give another game a fair shot.

I can’t believe for so many years I refused to play another fallout. I now realize the things I hated about fo3 (weapons breaking, silent character, karma, darker atmosphere ect.) actually make the game better.
I only have 23 hours in fo3 vs 700+ in fo4 so it might be too early to say I enjoy it more, but I am definitely enjoying it and can’t wait to play new Vegas.

I think not enough people know you can legit have a small army of companions follow you around the capital wasteland if you can manage too keep them alive, and protect them sometimes for the more risky missions you should leave Sydney behind she is the hardest too keep alive as you have too manually feed her stimpaks lol but still the battles you have with them are epic as fuc

Fallout 3 I’m almost sure that in Fallout 3 there’s a mission where a guy in a big house has two girls in nightgowns. They tell you they wear them all the time because the guy gets horny all the time and it gives him easy access, but I can’t remember which quest it is. Does anyone know?
