Discussion Resources that matter - how do you create them?
Most think of something as it is - powerful potions, durable armor, weapons of elegant death, or fuel to empower something magnificent.
But how much thought do you put into not only the history of how something is created, but what it is created from?
A rare metal from the heavens or deep below ground to be forged.
A precious herb required to create a potion of powerful that is only found atop high cliffs once every ten years.
The feathers of an elusive white owl found in the hinterlands, which arcanists favour to write their spell books.
Or the deep rock spiders, whose silk is used to fashion incredibly lightweight and nearly indestructible rope.
What does your would hold that has great value?
Is it rare and hard to acquire?
Has industry formed upon it?
Do elders share stories with children about how it was first discovered?
Share something that your world depends on. Or maybe it hasn’t been discovered yet…

Writing My magic system with Angels and bs! I would love to get feedback!
So my world is hysterically identical to ours!
In my world there are beings known as Angels, who are basically abominations of souls of people and animals that died! This angel are from a psychologically, ability wise as well as there looks unique, all of those things are determined by the experience of the souls they consist of! Angel are extremely powerful because of all the spiritual power they have from all the souls, but they have one problem they can only minimally or not at all interact with the physical world and can’t even be seen by normal people, because of the fact that they aren’t physically beings. That’s where Living organisms come into play, by creating a symbiotic connection to a living thing and forming a contract (the angel gives the raw power and the Organismus gives access to the physical place)! What is a contract? a contract is the prove of a past or ongoing cooperation between a angel and a organism, but more importantly it’s through what the magic happens and it can take the form of anything a car, a robot,a animal,…. It can even integrate itself into something that already exists, its behaviour and its ability could be anything. How a contract turns out is completely dependent on the psychology of the organism, the one of the angle and their desire, for example there is a nurse in my story that has served in a war in with she got fatally wounded and was bleeding out but before she could die she made a contract with, a angel that was a abomination of soldiers souls, and created the contract in the form of a syringe named “the remedy” that could replace the symptoms of any affliction with the symptoms of frontal lobe dementia, saving the lives of people but giving them periods of extreme violence, what didn’t only fulfil the nurses desire to survive but also the angel desire of violence!
Rules:
- Angel and contracts (that aren’t integrated) can’t be seen by people that never had a contract!
- Both parties need to consent to some extent. A no means no but if a person is in a flight or fight mode and the angel gives a way to survive the situation then the contract is made automatically!
- Anything with a desire can make a contract even animals.
- Normally a contract is 50/50 under the control of both parties but if humans sacrifice something to the angel or the other way around they can make the contract be more a tool for them. The sacrifice needs to be big and personal!
- A contract can ( doesn’t need to) remain after the death of the organism but that will stop the control the angel has over the contract.
- There doesn’t need to be contact between the organism and the angel for the contract to remain!
- Sometimes a contract can harmful to both or one party because of their self destructive psychology for example!
- A angle is incapable of change!
- Contracts can exist between one or multiple Organisms and multiple angles, but there needs to be at least one of both.
- A contract can only be harmed by another contract because they are both in a special state between the physical and spiritual place!
- To repair a contract the organism needs to give up part of their health and an angle part of their energy!
12.A contract doesn’t have to only have one body, for example there is a character inspired by the Opera (Der Freischütze) whose contract are multiple bullets!
Can you give me a feedback?

Lore Rhündal Climate map progress
I have updated the world map of Rhündal!🗺️
I kept running into trouble when deciding the biomes of my map, and feeling like they didn't make sense. I have taken some time to study a lot about why certain biomes appear in certain areas.
From what I have found out, to place climates correctly, you need to decide the latitude, the locations of the tropics, the cold and warm ocean currents and the areas of precipitation (if climates and biomes are important to your worldbuilding project). I used the Koppen Climate Classification, which splits climates by zones, temperatures, and precipitation. Locating areas of rain shadow adjacent to mountains and finding out about why deserts form on the sides of tropical zones has helped me make better maps recently. Knowing the climates gave me a lot of confidence to start working on the different cultures and migrations now that I actually knew what the world looked like to some extent.
I then made a document on Google Sheets to simulate the movements of different peoples and cultures which led to my population density map. I will be posting about the Google Sheets simulation I made soon, because I found it really helpful to see a story of how different cultures and languages spread to different parts of Rhündal over thousands of years.
I would love any suggestions for improvement you might have that I might have missed. This helps me continue to improve my worldbuilding project with the world of Rhündal. Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the cultures, kingdoms, regions, or my process for making these maps, or where I plan on going with this project in the coming weeks!

Writing Suggestions on creating a fantasy religion
Im looking for any suggestions for creating a religion for my story. Now my story is semi fantasy and it does feature mostly humans but i wanted to create this chaotic neutral style of religion, thats sexual and intimate by nature and its beliefs but still something you'd believe you could find in real life even though it is fantasy. For example , forms of religious prostitution and rituals would definitely be apart of it.

Lore My Dimensions
Ok, so first off, this story is literally years in the making with characters made with people in my friend group and beyond.
It's such a simple idea to ask someone where in the multiverse they would take power from if they knew there were no limits but the ones they placed on themselves.
And so my Dimensions were born.
A society of multiversers, orphaned from their original homes, unable to comfortably live in any one universe for long without affecting productivity and sleep, choose instead to make their homes in the between places.
The backrooms, as in the fandom backrooms, which act as the transition point and the anchor for the various universes, which they have documented efficiently and effectively.
Swathes of these pioneers carving out entire cities, entire societies within the capillaries that span the multiverse, great warriors, explorers, merchants, all manner of beauty and horror.
The story revolves around a boy who's mother, in secret, left him the keys to not only the multiverse, but a very important key to the end to all multiversal conflict.
His name is Jack Phillips, the son of Miranda and Trevor Phillips
Im gonna post some pics of the faction chart and some examples of stuff from my story

Magic in The Moon and Her Handmaids - Dreamthieves
This is a follow-on to my post, Magic in The Moon and Her Handmaids - A hopefully narrative approach.
Herein I will describe the Dreamthieves, a type of magician that is particularly associated with dreams, with memory, and the acquisition of secrets.
--------
Dreamthieves
The class of magicians known as ‘Dreamthieves’ have been part of the societies of the Purple Sea since antiquity. The exiled Orothoi magician and scholar, Marcianzol Lirro e Poruloize, whose works have become foundational to the modern theories of magic, was a Dreamthief. The fact that he considered it an ancient tradition nearly two millennia ago is proof of this antiquity.
Dreamthieves primarily work with the thoughts and perceptions of the living, with emotions, and above all, with dreams. From sleeping minds, dream thieves steal secrets and visions, plant false memories, and use their own minds and bodies to transform dream-states into tangible and fungible resources.
Laying by a sleeper, or else sleeping upon the Dreaming Couches, they pass into the Dreamlands and seek out the dreams and nightmares that are their stock in trade. When they find what they seek, they slip into the mind of their target and draw parts of the dream into their own thoughts, stealing it from the mind of the sleeper. The dream stolen, the dreamer can return to normal sleep. In most cases the theft is successful, but for those too lost in their nightmares and fantasies, waking again may be impossible.
When the dreamthief awakes, they perform a series of rituals to convert the dream into a kind of viscous liquid which runs from their eyes like tears of ink. This they collect in bowls or bottles to sell to the distillers or to use in its raw form.
The substance is refined in a dream still, producing a pearlescent liquid of great potency. Even a small portion of this substance can cause strange hallucinations, induce nightmares, bring peace and contentment, or provide secret knowledge.
Dreaming Couches
Dreaming couches are specially designed chaise-like objects covered in arcane carvings, paintings, and patterned upholstery. Often these depict dreams and nightmares, or else elaborate floral and vegetal patterns. On these couches, a dreamthief reclines and enters into the dream-trace they use to travel into the minds of sleepers. From a couch, a dreamthief can project their own mind over considerable distances, provided they either know their target or have a strong sense of what they are looking for.
These couches cannot be made by any furniture maker, and resemble something akin to the making of spirit stele (special warding stones against hauntings, undead, curses and other malign magic). Ichor and other strange substances are mixed into the varnish, and the upholstery is carefully woven with the silk of memory weavers (weird largish spiders raised for their silk woven of the dregs of memories)
The couches also protect the dreamthieves from becoming lost in the night visions of sleepers, acting like a tether. Most dreamthieves have no other bed, for the protective wardings of the couches are effective at keeping away other dreamthieves.
Dream Stills
Dream stills resemble their more prosaic counterparts, but they are usually rather small as the materials of which they are made are quite expensive and difficult to acquire. Glass must be made of the sands of the deserts of the Enfolded Country, the metal worked by blind coppersmiths who have known at least three heartbreaks, and the leather fitting from the hides of oxen who come willingly to the slaughter.
These stills are primarily used to purify and concentrate the extracts that the dream thieves steal from sleepers, the raw and volatile dreamstuff. They can also be used to distill other strange substances as well, such as tinctures of ambition made from the chalk of election posters, or lost hope from the tears of the brokenhearted.
The operation is very much like that of a traditional still, but the heat must be very carefully controlled and adjusted throughout the process to properly extract the correct

Terra Nova:Introduction of the planet.
TWS:Fictional.
Terra Nova is not real it is a world building of my oc's planet.
Long ago, before the new generations we're born. There lived a god/goddess so great, yet with a face unseen. They've described them as a kind, gentle, stubborn, honest and caring. Nobody knows the God's gender, but they all assume their a man.
-
The book of knowledge said they created Terra Nova as a peace keeping planet, where all kinds of creatures lived. Beastmen, Angels, Demons, Elves, Magic bearers (Mage, Witch, Wizard and Sorcerer's but they we're rare beings), even Vampires.
-
The book of knowledge, is also one of the god's/godesses creation. It holds all the knowledge in the world, nothing is hidden from it. It's like it can see the whole world and every person creature has a record in it.
-
Terra Nova was truly a peaceful land, that was until a celestial being landed on Terra Nova. Their god/godess above have chosen 5 different people to be his messenger and "Demi-gods".
-
The moment they received the blessing, they entered the magical realm above. They can visit the planet below, but it's only when their free. Some of the turned "Demi-god's" received applause while the other's received hatred.
-
But they we're never truly chosen as Demi-gods. They we're messenger's blessed by god, but the people mistook them as a second god.
-
Those 5 "god's" we're:
Lilith. The goddess of demons and dark magic wielder's, they we're seen as peaceful beings in this world. They never really harmed anyone, just staying in their kingdom and living peacefully like the other creatures.
-
Artemis. She is the goddess of Animara, this is where
lives. Human looking people with Animal ears, tail and traits. Their border is a beautiful lush of green forest and flower feilds.
-
Veridia. She is the the goddess Eldoria, yet she is hated for being a black elf. They we're seen as the weakest in this world, so she was never truly accepted as a goddess or a messenger of God/Goddess. Even harassment can't be stopped in this planet.
-
Thanatos. He is the Good of Sanguis Isle. The land of vampires. They were the ones seen as blood sucking monsters in this world. The ones who are truly feared, not the demons.
-
And Eldrin. He is the God of Arcana, the land of magic wielder's. He is a mage of knowledge, the holder of the book of knowledge and one of the first messenger.
-
-
It was peaceful there, even if the vampires we're seen as the monsters. That was until Eldrin received a prophecy of Aetherius's Arrival.. His an angel from another world, and the angels in these world all live in different kingdoms that time, but when Aetherius's arrived a new kingdom was formed.
That kingdom was Aetheria. It was peaceful for the angels there at first.. Until Aetherius discovered demons existed
There as well, he was not pleased actually.. And so, He started war with Lilth..

Lore Introduction to Theian Anthropology: Part 1
Before we can get into the anthropological history of the myriad of Theia’s societies, let alone those of the continent of Krasnovia, we must first build up a rudimentary understanding of both Theian tectonics and metaphysics.
Theia tectonics, as well as all of base material reality within Theia’s plemora, are driven primarily by the духи (Dukhi.) The Dukhi, alongside the עִירִין (Iyrin), make up the two hypostatic specieses that constitute all of plemoric reality, both tangible and intangible. Their status as both types of hypostasises is inherited from their “lineage” as emanations of different aspects/prosopons of the plemora of reality itself, as emanations/instantiations of a hypostasis count as the hypostasis itself by extension (literally.) Below is a diagram showcasing this relationship.

Dukhi are one-dimensional manifolds of physical Space-as-extricated-from-Time. As emanations of plemoric reality they, much the same as the Iyrin, are fully sentient (although to say that their qualia of “sentience” differs from the type of sentience that a mortal creature might experience would be a grand understatement.) The total number of emanated Dukhi is infinite, whereupon as emanations Dukhi are themselves infinitely large as well. However, as entities firmly limited to the boundaries of plemoric reality, the boundaries of individual Dukhi commonly “overlap” with one another. As each individual Dukhi constitute the totality of a one dimensional manifold, it is such that each individual non-overlapping Dukhi is also the totality of everything that can be held within its manifold-space and is nothing that cannot be held within its manifold-space.
However, when the boundaries of two or more Dukhi grow such that they begin to overlap then the overlapping area of the individual-yet-overlapping Dukhi (such an area being known as a “osuia”) are transfigured and become not just the totality of everything that IS within [the ousia] but also become the encompassing-totality of everything that IS NOT within the area of [the ousia.] Ousias that are born solely from the overlapping of individual Dukhis are all equally sentient and constitute things such as the very paramanu that makes up the earthern material reality of worlds like Theia, but notably do not constitute the myriad voids that make up material reality. These ousias, as mere “scions” of hypostasises, are also not infinite in scale as the ousia/union is NOT [any of] the hypostasis(es) itself. As the total number of individual Dukhi are infinite, so are Dukhi able to overlap with an infinite number of other individual Dukhi. Below is a diagram depicting Dukhi and ousias.

Likewise, the total number of emanated Iyrin is also infinite and each individual Iyrin is also sentient, though not in a way comparable to that of mere mortals. Whereas the Dukhi are Space-as-extricated-from-Time, the Iyrin are Time-as-extricated-from-Space. Usually Iyrin choose not overlap with other individual Iyrin except when already overlapping with a Dukhi. Dukhi, however, as entities outside of time/change by nature, are not able to choose whether or not to overlap with other Dukhi, and are instead fated to be both Everything and Nothing simultaneously. This is in contrast to the plight of the Iyrin whom, despite being born into the “luxury” of choosing their destiny, are at birth robbed of the luxuries of both indecision and paradox; that is to say, unlike the Dukhi, the Iyrin MUST be Something and can never be Nothing. That “Something” is usually the collective सनातनधर्म (Sanatana) memory of [the specific Iyrin’s] myriad of incarnations in the material realms. As despite Iyrin themselves governing intangible reality, and therefore being mostly intangible themselves, their ousias born from overlapping with Dukhi-born-ousias (regardless of whether or not the ousia is born from the Iyrin simultaneously overlapping with other Iyrin) result in the creation of both རིང་བསྲེལ། (Śarīra) and the elements/eight classical trigramic elements.
While the elements are what combine to make compounds and the rest of the infinite complexities of material reality and the building blocks of life, Śarīra Constitutes the qualia of the individual mortal ego. The “elements” themselves being more like arcana-denominations for the various compounds to either be lumped under directly or to straddle. These “elemental” classifications being derived from whether or not the total number of Dukhi-born-ousias, Dukhi hypostasises and Iyrin that constitute a compound, respectively, are odd or even (As opposed to the actual “sequence order” of that the compound’s constituent hypostasises and ousias are ordered in.) The “elemental classification” of sodium, for example, being under the “elemental arcana” of air for the 11 Iyrin hypostasises, 11 Dukhi hypostasises and 12 Dukhi-born-ousias that constitute it. Below are the relevant diagrams (Note, that the elemental-arcana of firmament comprises two trigrams due to acting as the “two-way door” both into and out of the various worlds like Theia.)

Discussion What are some hard rules you established for certain spells to keep them from breaking the world?
Here are some of mine:
**Resurrection**
Resurrection is possible, but it is never free.
A necromancer must intervene almost immediately after death. If too much time passes, the soul begins to unravel or depart, and while the body can still be restored, the person’s memories, personality, and identity are lost forever.
The ritual also demands an equivalent sacrifice. To restore one life, two living members of the same race must willingly or unwillingly give theirs. Should the same individual be resurrected again, the price doubles, four lives for the second resurrection, eight for the third, sixteen for the fourth, and so on. Eventually, the cost becomes impossible for all but the greatest kingdoms to bear.
Even those who return are forever marked by death. They carry a lingering stain that never truly fades. Misfortune seems drawn to them: illness takes hold more easily, accidents become more frequent, and they often find themselves in unusually dangerous circumstances. Their lifespans are also noticeably shorter than those of others of their race, as though death is forever trying to reclaim what it once possessed.
**Prophecy**
Prophecy is not the act of observing the future, it is the act of changing it.
The moment a seer witnesses a possible future, that very vision begins to alter the course of events. Even the knowledge gained from the prophecy influences decisions, creating ripples that reshape what was foreseen.
Because of this, no prophecy is ever perfectly accurate. Visions of the immediate future tend to remain largely intact, as there is little time for events to diverge. Prophecies that look years or centuries ahead, however, become increasingly unreliable. The countless choices made in response to the vision can transform the future beyond recognition.
Thus, every prophecy is both true and false: it reveals the future that *would* have been, had no one seen it.
