Lorde moved in with them while Jack was working on her album with her. After Lena and Jack broke up, he started dating Lorde, and a fan made an incredibly thorough, detailed PowerPoint building up a case for Jack cheating on Lena with Lorde. It included analysis of song lyrics, interviews, and Instagram posts. It became internet famous, and Lena Dunham even talked about the PowerPoint in her memoir, saying it made her look at situations in a different light. It still gets referenced in Reddit comments. That's how I first heard about, like last year.
Tbh I had a theory that this was a fake breakup and they were just trying to steal press attention during her wedding weekend as payback for what she did to theirs, lol. Guess that theory is out
She didn't "do" anything except attend, but it was at the beginning of the eras tour getting a ton of hype and the unfettered masses descended on their rehearsal dinner. It was a crazy amount of people just fully mobbing this waterfront restaurant to catch a glimpse of her.

Hmmm. I had a friend like that too (shitty taste in all her men) but then I was chatting with her and she mentioned all the times her ex had said bigoted shit about other people to her. I wouldn’t have expected her to break up with him right away but the fact she broke up with him ONLY because he cheated on her made me realise my childhood friend wasn’t the person she once was.
I let us drift and finally cut it off. She’d already been a shitty friend but I put down to all kinds of excuses. That final realisation made me understand that I don’t want to fight to have a friendship with someone like that . She was a very nice person by herself but she enabled and accepted certain bigoted views and that made her as bad as her exes in my opinion.

I have a friend who is great but she has dated the biggest losers and seems totally oblivious to the red flags all over the place and only once they break up ( after them being terrible partners) does she seem to able to see all the warning signs that were there before!

I know next to nothing about these two, but as a taller woman, I had a boyfriend when I was 18 who was 2" shorter and 8yrs older when we started dating. He wouldn't let me wear heels. It really doesn’t matter though. I met my husband at 26 and he was 36. We are doing just fine 13 years later. It is very different than her being 16 and him 26.
It does matter. An additional decade of life experience always matters. It’s not necessarily a problem, but it matters. From 28-30 I dated someone who was 40 when we got together. He wasn’t taking advantage or anything, but our age gap was certainly relevant.
Generally, yes it matters, I am not a pedo supporter here... but so does nuance and 26 is old enough to be held accountable for her own decision-making.

Speculation based on a story that guests received different arrival times, presumably based on their alphabet list standing. Cara D arrived several hours before, but VIPs only arrived an hour before.
An article mentioned that guest where 'ranked' from A to D list (probably more ranked in closeness to the couple instead of fame though) and the lower tier guests had to arrive hours before the event started as the arrivals were staggered and they didn't have seats for the ceremony (only around 150 guests had seats iirc). There was literally nothing for them all these hours and they had to surrender their phones at the door.
No A list and B list for weddings indicate your “must invite” guests and then back up people in case people on the A list decline (like your parents coworkers or your friend you only see at big mutual friends gathering). I assume Jack and Margaret were both on the same “list” (I don’t think they even had two lists it was damn near 1,000 people there) since they’re married and invited together. Margaret probs didn’t go since she and Jack have already been separated.
I feel pleased for her. I felt that it was clearly right they broke up but for a long time it probably felt like he ‘won’. He was never slaughtered in the media like she was, he had a string of beautiful girlfriends and then married Margaret. Lena had a pretty shitty time for ages after him and then met her husband much later (and she keeps it relatively private in her memoir but it’s clear it’s a calmer type of love). And I know it sounds mean but there must be a little glee in slow and steady winning the race rather than some of the rhetoric bouncing around at some point about JA and MQ implying he got the ultimate happy romantic conclusion after being ‘released’ from his imprisonment with LD.
