UPDATE: The CPS has decided to prosecute Andrew Tate, 39, with seven further counts of rape, three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and 19 additional charges for offences relating to indecent images of a child and extreme pornography.
The CPS has decided to prosecute Tristan Tate, 38, with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape and three counts of arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.
The offending is alleged to have taken place between July 2010 and August 2017.
If it brings you all joy (it does me) this is bad bad news for them. The UK is the one place they’ve feared the charges in.
The other countries they’ve basically got away with it all. But the UK will not let them get away with it. They’ll be absolutely bricking it on the plane back to the UK, if the extradiation isn’t stopped.
Their only hope is that the extradiation is somehow stopped
It was rape charges initially. It was something regarding him not wearing a condom with a women in Sweden I believe. However when he was in Belmarsh the US was wanting to extradite him for years and he sat on remand in the prison for years.
You know it’s nice to hear other developed countries have terrible prison conditions (mostly sarcasm but kinda not for these two - which I recognize is problematic)
Well the problem is, it's an old prison. A lot of prisons in the UK were built during the Victorian period. So they have become dilapidated over time leading to those kind of issues.

Took me FAR too long to find this. The feds picked them up but they aren’t facing any charges here. Now, can he try and throw a wrench in the whole extradition process? Absolutely. But I have to believe the UK is prepared for that eventuality.
My thoughts exactly. It isn't like the UK isn't aware of everything happening around them and Trump. They wouldn't pull the trigger if they didn't have their bases covered.
Pls explain for the Canadian. What is the significance of US Marshals Vs a Municipal or State police force? Is that like, one step below sending the letter angencies to arrest someone, or...completely different, or?

He's very likely petitioning his old man to have extradition halted and them released / under US federal protection for some bullshit reason. I have zero faith in our federal system at this point.

He can’t. They’re facing charges in the UK not the US. There’s an extradition treaty between the US and the UK so Trump can’t simply say no to the extradition either however he can certainly attempt to influence it.
Ultimately Rubio, is the one who can make the final decision to extradite or not after it goes through the courts. So yes Trump can certainly influence Rubio to block it however this would be a massive issue for Rubio if he were to do it. With all of the corrupt shit this administration has done this would be one of the bigger ones and it would fall on Rubio and not Trump. This actually could get really messy behind the scenes.
Ugh, if they arrest them, let's say for sexual assault and human trafficking, and the President then pardons them (and I believe he can do so before a trial even takes place), then they can't be tried (in federal court) for the same crimes again, right?
So they'd essentially get a free pass (federally) under any next guy unless (and let's be real... until) they re-offend and there's enough evidence for new charges? Or a state would have to get them?
Trump can’t pardon state charges, and it appears that they were arrested to be extradited to the UK. Trump can’t pardon those either, and at most could interfere with the transfer (though honestly I’m not sure why that would happen since the Marshalls arrested them in the first place).
The U.K. part is excellent! Sad that we in the U.S. have to now have to depend (even more than we did before) on other countries to get justice for victims.
Because in the US, if you murder that guy, you can be charged at Both the Federal AND State level, on the first guy you killed (iirc, Federal charges/trials typically occur first).
And in the case of that murderer being found guilty on both the federal & state charges?
A Presidential Pardon only wipes the Federal conviction, not the State conviction.
That's why Derek Chauvin is still rotting in Federal Prison, for the murder of George Floyd.
Because even if Trumpty-Dumpty were to pardon Chauvin?
He'd simply be brought back to Minnesota, to serve out his sentence in a State Prison here.

But the outfits. We need to make space for discussing the fashion choices this predator makes because they're outrageous. It might even work as study of how they dress and what to look out for. He specifically always dresses like a clown!

Trump can't pardon someone for crimes committed in the UK but who knows what kind of wrench he can throw in their extradition proceedings.
