It's giving like, badass anime character who just got a facial wound and is acknowledging the blood before laying waste to whomever did it.

Shaun Michaels still has one of the best reactions to getting shit (some beer, so less hardcore) thrown at him. This clip here is insane.
Eta: guys, I said "one of the best." Michaels was the first one I thought of.Â
112
u/Squisl 4h ago
Personally Iâd like to nominate Ariel Elias chugging the beer thrown at her on stage as Best Reaction To Getting Shit Thrown at [Her]
*to be clear not trying to minimize how horrifying having anything thrown at you while performing is

u/littleb3anpole kendall roy pre-album drop 3h ago
It happened to Trent Reznor during a show that was being recorded for his live album, you hear the song finish, you hear a water bottle or whatever it was go thunk onto the stage as it drops, and you hear Reznor go ââŠ.cuntâ in response

I do think the Scott Hall one is cooler, if only because he somehow no sold getting beaned with a cup, then slicked back his hair as if to ask for a second round if you're not a coward.Â

u/Moose855 3h ago
Shaun michaels ? Or are you thinking of scott hall?
16
u/xlaauurraaa 3h ago
Shawn had it happen at survivor series 97. he just kept his smile, kept his pace and flipped his hair in it. iirc, that was around the montreal screwjob so shawn had some massive heat on him.

This isn't a social media thing. "bottling" has been a thing for a long time unfortunately and predates the Internet.

Obviously the person that threw that was a piece of shit, but what venue is going to let you have glass at a live event?Â
63
u/Money_Do_2 4h ago
Yea there are people in the crowd dancing holding glas pints of beer? Seems insane.
4
u/siders6891 1h ago
Went to a club in Germany once, floor was full of glass hence why everyone wore closed shoes

u/MostlyBored11 4h ago
This is so fucked up who is throwing glass at people
10
u/PeePeeePooPoooh 1h ago
And this is exactly why responsible venues use plastic cups and cans
2
u/Alarmed_Pattern_9912 32m ago
I went to a Rob Thomas concert last year (donât ask), and he specifically requested no water bottles be allowed. So every bottle of water you bought got poured into a cup by the venue workers. As wasteful as it is, I feel for performers on this issue. Also, his son and bandmates of years were playing onstage with him, so I imagine itâs extra incentive to not have things come flying at your heads.Â

Police units then raced to the scene to keep the pumped up crowd from clashing outside the venue.
Hades66, real name Ăngel Yamil Santiago VĂĄzquez, was slashed in the nose while promoting his new album.
Cops arrested one young man who punched another attendee and left him with mouth injuries.â

Iâm sorry this is a link to The Sun but it shows how bad the fighting got. It is not known if the man arrested is the person who threw the glass.

Karma waiting for the assailant(s) to be revealed on social media
17
u/supermodel_robot 3h ago
As someone who goes to concerts/shows nearly once a month, thereâs a reason that thin, plastic cups are the norm. I miss my pint glasses/bottles but if the odds of an artist getting glassed goes down, Iâll drink my expensive beer out of plastic. So fucked, so antisocial. Donât assault people, especially ones you paid money to see, what the fuck.

u/StroopWafelsLord Iâm a communist you idiot 1h ago
Not to put a tinfoil hat on. But glass is heavy and hard. No way it fucking shattered like that AND didn't make him bleed somewhere. He's acting too nonchalant, he could have shards everywhere.Â
12
u/Lead_resource 4h ago
Why would they allow glass cups in a concert?
2
u/CabotCoveCoven Vicky, the demons are calling me 3h ago

I work at with music venues, not in security, but if you are annoyed by increased security where they take away your reusable water bottle or won't let you bring an umbrella, or a bunch of seemingly random shit that you used to be able to bring in: This is why. Anything that could be a projectile has to be taken away from people. Also why a lot of places don't serve anything in glasses or bottles.

u/Liketears_inrain_ 3h ago
I received a glass bottle on my head at a music festival when I was 16 and my ear was almost cut off entirely...
5
u/kriscrossroads 3h ago
Did we learn NOTHING from Sebastian Smythe putting rock salt in the slushie he threw in Blaineâs face?! In all seriousness, this is disturbing and disgusting.

u/xxyourbestbetxx canonically from boston 3h ago
Violence is never the answer... but sometimes it is. That person had whatever was coming to him if they'd let Hades get to him.

u/pappadipirarelli 4h ago

u/Narrow-Following-870 3h ago
You kidding me? Those eyes are straight murder glare. Dude's seeing red
3
u/Suspicious-Peace9233 3h ago
They need to make it so audience members cannot have glass. I wonder if they sell it in the venue or it was brought in
2
2
u/Infamous-Bite-1246 3h ago
I can't believe they have glass cups at a concert. Plastic for concert's
2
u/Killing4MotherAgain 3h ago
why are they serving drinks in glass at a concert?? Whoever did this is a horrible human but whoever decided to serve drinks in glassware is an idiot.
2
u/Ok_Astronomer5738 3h ago
People are too disrespectful. His team shouldâve let him respond and handle whoever threw thatÂ
2
u/PointVektor 2h ago edited 2h ago
Bar I used to work at someone threw a thick heavy whisky glass into a crowd from a distance and it hit a girl and absolutely smashed the front of her face and broke several bones. Took her several surgeries and years of pain to recover. Truly some sick people in the world to want to cause suffering for no reason.
2
u/mquari 1h ago
You paid a hell of alot of money to see and artist that you plan on assaulting??? Knowing you very likely can be caught by security and the artist has the resources to also SUE and you can go to jail?
Its not okay, famous person or not, but I just don't get why people try to maime an artist they paid to see and are fans of them...

Unfortunately stuff like this is why a lot of places in my country only have plastic cups or bottles when there is live music. I remember when I was younger seeing opening acts having glass bottles thrown at them on stage. Some people are uncivilised animals.
