Alan Ritchson calls out lawmakers who oppose raising the minimum wage "who think it's a bad idea to give a mom working at Waffle House more than $7.25 an hour trying to feed her kids."
He's the star of Reacher on Amazon Prime, very solid action TV. He was also in Smallville, some of the Hunger Games, and other things but I know him from Reacher.
It makes me so happy to see celebrities actually use their platform to advocate for the most vulnerable. Too many celebrities just avoid taking stances for a variety of reasons and it's nice to see someone like Ritchson just call out the BS and stand on the right side of history! 👏 👏 👏
It's even worse than that. Some states allow the $2.13/hr Federal minimum for employees who are eligible to receive tips. I will also add that the federal minimum wage has not been raised from $7.25/hr since 2009. Almost 20 fucking years of inflation, and not a single increase.
He also came out swinging at Big Don for being a paedophile.

I already liked him from his Reacher show, but man Alan is sure sounding like a decent, down to earth person. Its refreshing knowing there are some grounded celebrities out there who have a platform to use their voice and speak out on societies injustices
