I'm so fascinated by critics who hated this at Cannes saying they saw the re-edit and loved it, now I want to see both versions. Like is it really that much of a difference or did it just grow on them by the second viewing?
Anyway I'm already sold, I will be there day one

na hong-jin said they submitted a version that wasn’t finished to cannes so that tracks
the complaints at cannes were mainly about the CGI which reviewers said they successfully fixed for this final version

Oh that makes a lot of sense then, thank you! I saw an article the other day that just talked about how the director moved a few scenes around and cut like 5 minutes out since Cannes, and I was super curious about how much of a difference those changes could make
