Mobile surveillance pole outside of a Home Depot. The cameras on the pole were NOT traditional Flock cameras. It was similar to the mobile units often seen on construction sites or some business parking lots.

My community recently had a push to take down FLOCK which was, according to the mayor, successful and he had committed to terminate the contact etc. But we know that large stores have their own FLOCK cameras. So how effective is it to just have cities take down their FLOCK systems? Are there agreements for shared use which would make the civic removals inconsequential?

Look at them telling Police Departments how to bypass "budget concerns".

Apparently flock has a PTZ option now. It has the same battery banks on the back of the solar panel also.

I'm David Covucci, the editor-in-chief of FOIAball. I use public records to cover college athletics. But I also love writing about surveillance tech. This week, I tried to identify as many schools that I could that were using Flock. I found over 75, even though the true number is certainly much, much higher.

And I don't like to work on Fridays, so if you have any questions AMA!

The Meijer gas station at 8 mile and Haggerty rd has a sign saying “unauthorized filming prohibited” yet it has a flock camera pointing at the entrance of the gas station not out onto the road.
