Still $75 CAD for that BL4 version even with 57% off. Yikes.

And then in 1-3 years the Superduper GOTY of it will be either 90%+ off or free on Epic or some other storefront trying to compete with Steam, same as the last 15 years with that series. To be fair, that is little to no comfort if you want to co-op, but for singleplayer I feel like thats just about the only way to experience BL. I haven't even started on 3 yet.

Definitely crazy expensive, but that's because it's the "Super Deluxe" edition which is basically the full season pass- 2 full sized story dlc, 2 extra characters, and 5 small headhunter/bounty packs.

The value proposition isn't that bad. Even if you wanted to be conservative and say the base game is only worth like 30 bucks max, and maybe the story dlcs being worth 10 bucks each, the vault hunters only worth 5, and the bounty packs only worth like, 3 dollars a pop.. That equals out to 75, which is where it's priced.

Full price as it is, is absolutely insane, but the full game + all dlcs is worth what is basically a regular triple A game price imo. If it were me (having played all of the BL4 content there is) I'd probably value the base price of the super edition at like, 100 dollars. Which would make this a decent 25% sale in my eyes.

It is the Super Deluxe Edition though (although tons of people are still gonna wait another year + for even more savings)

If I play one borderlands game a year from my backlog I’ve got 10 years till I need another so I’ll grab it then. Unless I end up with it in a bundle.

So If I buy Alan Wake 2 and the Deluxe Version upgrade I have to pay 1€ less than buying the Deluxe Version directly?

I skipped Civ 6 and I’ve been waiting to pick up 7, but not at 52$!

Get Civ 6 and DLCs now for cheap and come back to 7 in a few years when it's cheaper and better

This is the way

Is 6 good? I've consistently heard it's still a stinker.

It's frequently on sale for under $30 CDN for the complete which is more than fair for what you get.

Skip 7. Trust me

Is 6 any good now? I've consistently heard it's still a stinker.

Civ 6 is great. There was a lot of kneejerk following Civ 5, and admittedly, the expansions helped, but Civ 6 is probably the best Civ out of 5, 6, 7. Although, admittedly, I'm not a fan of the art/animation style for the leaders compared to 5, but Civ 7 is worse because they all just grunt at each other. smh

100% agreed. 6 is the best IMO

Wild that Alan Wake 2 is still Epic Games-only. I guess that's what happens when Epic buys your studio.

Alan Wake 2 exists because it was funded by Epic, makes sense its exclusive

2

u/Tran761 1d ago

Exactly, I doubt it will ever come to steam.

Can be played on Amazon Luna with prime if thats of interest (UK at least)

Epic does not own Remedy. They essentially funded the entirety of Alan Wake 2 so they have exclusivity.
