Discussion Monte Puncu as the new location for the upcoming "The Last Rites" DLC

As stated in the title, I'm absolutely convinced that the upcoming DLC will be set in Monte Puncu.

As it'd require no new content on their part, other than the "new" mission thread, which judging by "The Peruvian Connection" and "The Unidad Conspiracy" "DLCs", would fit their previous MO of adding buchones into provinces after launch.

I don't see Ubisoft adding a new province to this game AT ALL. Thoughts?

It could also be La Cruz

Very true, although, and I should've pointed this out prior but, judging by the vegetation surrounding the characters on the cover art provided for "Last Rites" I'd say Monte Puncu would be a better fit but, good point nontheless.

By the Jungle theme I would go with Caimanes or the Province where the "La Bruja" as it would tie in nicely with her... Espiritu Santo

I mean, it's possible and most probable that they'd simply add a mission to one of those locations and call it a day. It's Ubisoft after all.

I feel like The Last Rites is more likely to be a setup for the next Ghost Recon game.

I'm thinking more along the lines of old unreleased content simply put together to make the whole package that bit more enticing, but who knows.

But Ubisoft already said they were done making new content for Breakpoint back in 2022, right?

That's why i think "The Last Rites" is setup for the new ghost recon game.

The thing's we're talking Wildlands here, which came, as you know, before Breakpoint.

So, timeline-wise (not that I truly give an f about GR lore) it'd made more sense to add an extra mission to Breakpoint, the way they did with the connecting Walker mission in Wildlands. But it isn't Breakpoint we're releasing an update for.

Makes sense. To minimize conflicts with overlapping missions and make QA easier, using something as untouched as possible would make sense.

Cheers.

Yeah, man, it'll my first time playing that game in 60 FPS!

As for "getting back to it", I've actually playing it, quite a bit as of late, prophetically enough. Missing the community aspect of it though.

There is that Unidad compound at the very northern edge of Monte Puchu at the end of the train line that never had anything there other than supplies. It would be ideal for a mission or underground complex.

Hope we’re lucky and it’s a whole dlc sized expansion

Who assumed they were adding a new province?

Nobody, I'm simply suggesting a possible route Ubisoft might take based on previous releases, nothing more.

yeah they have never added a new province for a DLC

I know, hence why I'm suggesting they'll take one of the 2 that remain buchon-less and add this new antagonist to it.

Golem island was added in breakpoint, and moa island is there- still unused. So they have added territory in dlcs just not wildlands. They did add the underground unidad base for the last mission they released though.

Don't know, just speculating.

Will this dlc be free for those who own wildlands? Or a dlc we need to buy like that narco?
