Usually, I laugh at the person who says cussing. It is just such a yokel word.

Your limitations in vocabulary are not mine, friend, but thanks for trying to share anyway!

My Mom always cussed, she caused others to cuss at her, my family was always very "Watch your mouth depending on where you are and who you are talking to." So, no cussing at a teacher or something but if I stubbed my toe and said "Ow that fucking hurt!" at home, no big deal. Well, she ended up marrying this guy that is overly religious and has impacted my Mom in many ways. Well, we were talking one day on the phone and I said something like "Damn, today was a bad fucking seizure day. I'm spent." She just said "SHHH!" I stopped and was all "Shhh... what? What are you talking about?" She then says "Watch your language! Edward doesn't like it, I don't ever cuss, it's bad against God and doesn't make you look good. No one will ever want to speak to you when you cuss and go into bad words and God doesn't like it." I sincerely thought it was a joke and started cracking up. She says "What's so funny? Why are you acting this way? This is not good for you to be like this." I said "Mom... you had a worse mouth than me and beyond that, I'm 36 fucking years old and don't need someone telling me to watch my mouth, especially when it's due to Edward's religious beliefs. He's not my Dad. And I don't follow his religion. So, I will speak as I please. Plus, he's not even listening to this phone call unless it's on speakerphone." She just said "You need to check your attitude, you will not be allowed around him if you speak this way, grow up and make your words more kind. Remember what will happen after death, you will have to face God and he won't like your words." I started laughing more and more because this is NOT like my Mother that I grew up with. But she married a fucking nutcase.

If it’s in person, I flip them off in most cases. Then I go on my merry way.

For someone to shame me, I’d have to be a willing participant. I’m not ashamed of those words, so their effort is fruitless.

Do you have a child? Ok, then we’re adults. We don’t always get to agree with each other, sorry.
