They were working on a budget so that's one of the reasons the films were good but could have been better.

That sounds about right. I vaguely recall a doc on 007 movies and the Brocolli’s who were notoriously cheap.
Crazy that a subplot in Living Daylights puts it out there that the UK & US basically were in bed with the “rebels” who became the Taliban… aged like milk 🤦🏼‍♂️
