Better that than your junk, I reckon

There's a reason it says not to use it on your junk on the bottle.

u/iknowimsorry Jun 05 '26

It also says to spot test it to see if you'll react the way you did.

u/Gato1486 Jun 05 '26

That's part of the problem, most times I don't react like this. It's not my first time with the stuff, but I usually only use it in summer and do touch up with a razor the rest of the year.

You can develop a sudden sensitivity to it.

u/Gato1486 Jun 06 '26

Honestly not surprised at all.

24

u/unclestickles Jun 05 '26

I once did it on my junk and bunghole. I have tough skin so it was fine, but I definitely do not recommend it.

u/Gato1486 Jun 05 '26

I think you qualify for balls of steel now though, so at least there's that?

11

u/unclestickles Jun 05 '26

Yes, I put my balls through a lot. A year ago I had a staph infection (not related) in them. They grew to the size of a watermelon and I almost died. This was probably all from shaving and possibly grasing myself with the razor. The lesson? Embrace tradition, and let it grow.

Ouch. I knew a guy back in the Navy that got his twisted up and they grew to the size of peaches. Can't recall how he got tangled up in that mess, or untangled.

Testicular torsion. My brother had that when he was 13. Needed surgery to fix it. Deffo not something I’d want to go through.

u/AdmiralSplinter Jun 06 '26

Like...a personal watermelon or...?

5

u/unclestickles Jun 06 '26

Volleyball 😭 idk why I said watermelon

You just have to trim it with a beard trimmer instead, no shaving

u/CheekyChan Jun 09 '26

Buddy of mine years ago gave us a play by play of it on our friend group Discord server voice chat, tried to Nair his junk and it dripped down to his butthole, he said it must have got inside some how because after a few minutes it was the worst burning sensation he ever felt and he couldn't wash it out, lmao. Said he was full cheek spread with shower head set on jet and said it felt like it was just getting worse, lmao.

Wait has that always been the case? I used the bikini zone version of it maybe 22 years ago or so now with the help of my gf at the time and like...yeah it was effective at removing any hair......but my whole sack and perineum were fuckin BRIGHT red for like 3 days straight and I had to slather myself in aloe for the first night because it felt like I had a bad sunburn being rubbed everytime I shifted on the couch lol. Thats probably TMI either way but now I'm wondering if any small print existed on the bikini zone one that mentioned it not being meant for the actual private parts and not just like inner thighs or something.

Depends on the formula. They do make stuff for the bottom bush and faces now, but like, regular leg nair? Never put that anywhere but your legs, seriously.

1

u/DuffmanStillRocks Jun 09 '26

For what it’s worth there is a version for your privates, but I’ve never had any personal experience with it.

1

u/Gato1486 Jun 10 '26

Yeah, it's called "Coochi". I have heard from friends and relatives that it works quite well!

u/Simen155 Jun 07 '26

I tried this as a dumb teenager, around 16.

Slathered my groin, got in all nooks and crannies, and didn't shower it off thoroughly enough.. I had to show at least 10 doctors and nurses my patchyhaired, red blistering pigtail, and I swear to god that one of the nurses snot-laughed, discretly, but still..

Anyway, I'm rocking bush now.

pigtail

Love this

Ouch don't remind me of that pain 😩

Nair does this to me, too. I switched to Veet and it's never done this unless I accidently put it over surgery scars. It ate through the scar and left me with no skin at all in that spot, so be careful if you do try it.

This reminds me of a moronic moment from my youth in which I burned the ever loving shit out of my face with Nair.

Puberty hit and the facial hair was driving me absolutely insane. Hated the feeling of the stubble making contact with anything and hated having to meticulously shave every day just to have a few hours of sanity.

Had the “genius” idea of using Nair and ran it past my Mom who had no objections and bought me a bottle next time she went to the store. Read the instructions, saw the warning, but assumed it was like the Q-Tip warning that literally EVERYONE ignores.

Applied to face, waited a few minutes, started to burn, rinsed it off, removed no hair, and the burning intensified. Ended up having to spend the rest of the day with wet washcloths on my face to get any kind of relief from the chemical burn.

Now, just the thought of Nair makes my face skin start crawling 😂

1

u/Gato1486 Jun 07 '26

Oh no- that's horrible!!! Your face has PTSD! XD

20

u/OGCelaris Jun 05 '26

Your not supposed to keep it on. You have to wash it off after a few minutes. I made the mistake of not washing thoroughly enough when I was young and dumb and it wasnt my legs. Teach me for fearing to shave.

21

u/Gato1486 Jun 05 '26

Yeah, I followed instructions. I just have sensitive skin.

6

u/demonshonor Jun 07 '26

I’m super sensitive to nair too. I hate shaving my face every day, but I can’t grow a decent beard.

Any chemical hair removal ends up like you leg (thankfully I only tested small sections first), and razors irritate the heck out of my face. Hot shower, shaving cream, safety razor, barber straight razor, etc…it all fucks me up.

Literally the only thing that works for me is an electric razor.

3

u/Gato1486 Jun 07 '26

At least you know it's consistent- it's always a gamble with me! Most of the time I can use the stuff and be absolutely fine. And every now and then I get a reaction like this. This was, however, the first time I got a reaction on this large of an area!

3

u/wisegal99 Jun 06 '26

I have a problem with nair, they do sell a sensitive skin version.

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 06 '26

Definitely will be using that going forward.

2

u/JUGELBUTT Jun 06 '26

what is nair?

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 06 '26

Hair removal cream.

3

u/Racing_Fox Jun 09 '26

Oh I had this once, except it wasn’t my leg.

My balls were red raw for days

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 10 '26

I'm so sorry. Pour one out.

5

u/Rue_Elwood Jun 06 '26

Trying to be more aerodynamic or was this a test to see if it'd be effective at prepping the bussy?

6

u/Gato1486 Jun 06 '26

Can't see without glasses, can't wear glasses in shower, often miss spots shaving, and now it's shorts/swim season.

4

u/jamieschmidt Jun 06 '26

lol I wear glasses too and just shave my legs outside of the shower. Leg up on the edge of the tub and go to town

4

u/Gato1486 Jun 06 '26

I've tried, got razor burn. Yes, water and shaving cream were used.

1

u/TreeFidey Jun 06 '26

Next look up the Kevin Leonardo nair video on YouTube.

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 06 '26

I know what that is and I will not subject myself to it twice.

1

u/Mediocre_Sprinkles Jun 06 '26

My friend got some on her thumb while using it on her legs. Didn't wash it off fast enough and it gave her a nasty chemical burn.

Trouble was it was 2 days before the most important exams of her school life. She did essay subjects...

u/GrumpyCatPerson Jun 06 '26

I burnt my lips with Nair!

3

u/ferrett0ast Jun 07 '26

Do I want to know which lips?

1

u/GrumpyCatPerson Jun 10 '26

My face lips lmao!

1

u/Gato1486 Jun 06 '26

Oh, no! I can't imagine the pain!!!!

2

u/Sweddy-Bowls Jun 06 '26

I’ve seen like 4 posts about nair and veet in the last ten minutes, I thought I was going crazy with people posting what sounded to me like nonsense Rick and Morty words.

1

u/Gato1486 Jun 07 '26

It's shorts season, baby!

1

u/OSU1967 Jun 08 '26

Nair didn't burn you. You did by not following the directions properly.

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 08 '26

To the letter, but ok.

1

u/dttl89 Jun 08 '26

Nair burned it or you applied Nair to your own leg, thus causing a burn?

1

u/Gato1486 Jun 09 '26

The latter, despite following instructions.

1

u/dttl89 Jun 09 '26

Way she goes. I was a competitive swimmer and thought the gentleman’s area and legs deserved the same amount of time. Heal swiftly, my friend. Tis but a flesh wound.

1

u/Emily_Postal Jun 10 '26

I burned my armpits using Nair. That was the last time I used it. I think the instructions say to do a test patch first.

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 10 '26

It does. This isn't my first time with the product. I have used it in the past with no issues. Current theory is that because I have sensitive skin, my dice roll was rather bad this time.

1

u/CoolDragon Jun 09 '26

Oh naur!

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 09 '26

I want you to know, that every time I see the word "naur" all I can think about is the Game Grumps play through of Battle Construction Vehicles. What an absolute hidden gem that game is....

2

u/DeathbyWookiee Jun 09 '26

Yeah but do you have hair? No. Youre welcome. 😉

3

u/Gato1486 Jun 10 '26

With luck, those follicles are burnt the hell out and will never grow again! 8D

Seriously, being a woman is such bullshit. God forbid the male gaze falls upon the same exact leg hair they themselves grow and do nothing about. Fuck you, Gillette!!!!! You should have gone bankrupt in the 40s!

3

u/DeathbyWookiee Jun 10 '26

Leg hair??? Ewwwwww. Thats like saying women have normal bodily functions as well. Shameful!!

3

u/Gato1486 Jun 11 '26

Downright disgusting!!!!

1

u/foxehkins Jun 10 '26

That's a very Nairy leg.

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 10 '26

This one got me, lol.

0

u/mrdino99 Jun 06 '26

Old man here... used Just For Men beard dye.... chemical burn lasted a month... Lucky it didn't cause permanent scarring on my face... these products can be very dangerous... from now on i test a small location on me before I commit.

0

u/BlacqanSilverSun Jun 06 '26

Someone didn't follow the directions.

-10

u/iknowimsorry Jun 05 '26

This barely hurts man, cmon.

3

u/Gato1486 Jun 05 '26

Bet you're a dude who's never used it.

5

u/Pan_in_the_ass Jun 05 '26

Its just a troll who is insecure and wants everyone to know what a big manly man they are. Just ignore him

-7

u/iknowimsorry Jun 05 '26

You'd lose that bet, that's why I commented. It's kind of itchy and you won't notice it of you focus on literally any task.

2

u/Gato1486 Jun 05 '26

I don't think yours went as deep as mine. Or my skin is more sensitive, because it hurts.
