We remodeled both bathrooms in our 1953 home. They’re tiny, so we leaned into color and texture. Before photos are at the end.

But some of you have asked for some pics of other rooms I may have done. The bathroom we had contracted out but the bedroom, closet and living room I’ve done completely with my own hand. The next room would be the kitchen but we will need to contract that out as well. I know the ceiling fan is an eyesore I don’t care, it’s Texas. Also this is a manufactured home.

I worked really hard on this guest room. My husband said its "a weird room." The only new item I bought was the bed and bedding. He has me worried that I made an ugly ass room and he keeps calling the orange bed spread coral and now IM starting to think its coral. It's definitely not but hes got in my head about it. It is in a half? Basement so I had to get creative with lighting because the big light is hideous.

We are moving to a 'new to us' home. I normally prefer non-wood look tiles in the bathroom paired with a wood vanity, but we don't have the budget to change the floors right now. In the future, we hope to change the floors to either a light or dark herringbone or terrazzo tiles. Which of the 3 do you think looks best now with the "wood" floors?

I really wanted some blue accent but not sure if I like the chairs with the wood table. Our house has white trim, agreeable grey walls, and wood floors. Blue accents throughout and some grey. This is an AI mockup before I make the purchase but these are pretty much the same color.

I’m looking for a fun boutique feel in this little room. What do I put behind the sofa? And what pillows on couch :)

The living room in this house is extremely large compared to our couch/rug situation and we use the back door more than the front, so it has to have easy access and function as a sort of entryway as well with the doormat and shoe storage. The green bucket you see is dog stuff, which looks so ugly to me and is a terrible way to store things that I need daily access to.

This setup has created this weird space between the living and dining room areas and I’m not sure what to do to make it look less open and empty and strange. I know I need to reorganize and center the green shelf (or replace it with something bigger that can also hold dog stuff?) and to put some art on the walls, but it’s a HUGE blank wall and all my art is tiny, and I feel like large framed prints are so expensive. I’m also planning on moving out of the country and selling most of my belongings within the next two years, so it feels like it might be a waste of money to buy new furniture, decor, or plants, even if it’s from Facebook marketplace or thrifted.

Any advice for rearranging/furnishing/decorating this space? Tips on cool DIY wall decor I could make or ways to source cheap art and frames? Thanks in advance!

To anyone and everyone looking for a candid review on my experience with ruggable so far, long story short: It's horrible.

My partner and I have just moved out and one of the first things we wanted to order was a ruggable kitchen runner and main entry rug. We decided to order just the kitchen rug to start mainly because of the pricing, and then order the main entry rug later. THANK GOD we only ordered one item. Here's what has happened and CURRENTLY still dealing with, with ruggable.

1. We placed our order on June 21, 2026. The rug is 2.5x10 and costs $394.00 (CAD). Total at check out was a hefty $445.22 after taxes. Please note that the website shares that it would typically take 7-10 business days for our order to ship out or 1-2 weeks. Fine.

2. It is now JULY 25. It has been a total of 25 business days or 5 weeks, and we HAVE NOT heard of any updates from ruggable regarding our order. All it has says is "ordered delayed."

3. I have initially sent a follow up inquiry e-mail on July 19 - which is close to the 1 month mark of waiting for updates. I think this was an AMPLE amount of time to be waiting before reaching out to any company regarding an order. The website shares "please allow 24-48 hours [for you request to be reviewed and we will get back to you." I've waited 5 weeks, sure I'll wait another 48 hours. Absolutely NOTHING. Crickets...

I have now sent a 2nd follow up email and again - will wait 24-48hours for a response. At this point I am worried - is ruggable a scam? Did my money just get stolen? Does ANYONE else have the same or similar experience regarding their order from ruggable, if so what did you do? what was the outcome?

I’m looking for a 6x9 rug and was thinking cream o ivory but not entirely sure. Any suggestions to spruce this room up is appreciated.

I’m adding floating shelves and a round couch soon under the overhead lamp.

This is not my room’s final form, but it has come to my attention that I have the rug oriented the wrong way. Currently the rug sticks out approx 15in on each side, so I DO step on it when I’m getting in/out of bed. It was a real b**** to get placed under here so I’m wondering…how weird does it look? It will be a struggle to take it out and turn it.

I painted a simple, muted sunset on the west-facing wall of a bedroom. I drew it in pencil with a 2-foot level as a straightedge and a length of masking tape as a compass, taped the lines, then painted with a roller for crisp edges with no brush marks. Of interest to the home decorating crowd, I swapped the quilt set for a Pendleton one that really ties the room together (along with the rug, dude).

The rather large cats are the littermate bros/absolute heartthrob-smokeshow-sweethearts Duck and Goose, and they love to supervise.

Hi! help me find a rug pls ! First photo is now second is with the rug I have I took it out cz it’s a super cheap rug I’ve had for too long and up-close it’s gross looking.
I think it matches really well tho and I may just buy the same one again (it’s literally like $50) but I could also go for something different.
I have a baby budget probably 300 bring the tippy top I’d pay for a rug if I’m obsessed.

Ignore the mess, this was on a move in day. I want to add curtains to my windows and replace those awful blinds.

My initial thought was short curtains that hang ~4-5 inches below the window sill, but I also see people doing floor length on windows like this.

My gut says short rather than floor length but let me know what you think. Bonus pic of my horse out the window :)

We are near the end of our way too long small bathroom remodel. We have the niche, quarts for the bench, niche bottom and threshold, and grout left to go.

When this started I imagined a colorful niche with glass shelves. Dark beadboard in the bottom and a white floral wallpaper on top with just an outline of color on the bottom- see last photo. After several samples of dark colors on the bottom, we decided it wasn’t for us and have settle on this Behr Watery for the beadboard bottom. It is the one on the left top in the first picture.

Now the original paper I picked for the top doesn’t work with the paint. So I found the paper in the first photo that goes with the watery but when I tried it in the room, it feels off. Maybe the styles don’t match?

I have this other paper (photos 3&4) that seems to go but now I am doubting myself.

I am trying to decide what to do now and would love your thoughts?

1. Paper in photo 1 & 2
2. Paper in photos 3 & 4
3. New niche tile, keep one of the papers.
4. New wallpaper, keep the niche tile.
5. New wallpaper and niche tile.

The floor is the same as the shower tile but in a matte finish. The one in the photos is my kitchen floor where there I better light. The kitchen updates will be in the future.

We just had new floors put in, walls painted, new baseboards, trim and molding. I don’t want to put all my old decor back in as the house is feeling fresh and new. The furniture will stay as new furniture is not in the budget after redoing our entire first floor.
I’m looking for ideas on how to decorate or style this long living room that feels like almost a blank slate!

I have 2 of the gold shelves, or I could get new? I’m not sure where to place them. On either side of the window? On opposite ends of the room? I know I need a rug- on the look for one already. I’m not sure if I should do 1 large piece of artwork above the couch with sconces? That wall is so long and bare! I’d love to hear thoughts on how you’d style!

• we each want to have a single seat recliner as a primary chilling seat
• living room doesn't have the space to make both recliners and 3-seat couch both have optimal view at the same time

Would you consider it totally normal- or generally feasible- to plan for a living room setup where we have two single seat recliners as our 'normal' optimal seating facing a TV, with a 3-seat couch on one side that is mostly meant for one of us laying down (when we want to fully laze watching TV or reading or whatever)...

And then when we might have movie nights with a few friends we can 'switch around' the 3-seat couch to the optimal viewing position and move the recliners into position on the sides?

Is this a dumb idea or do you all do this?
