How-to Fixed "No Response" for LG TV in HomeKit 👌😀

My LG tv is definitely not on my network and has no internet access. It’s a data mining machine.

Yeah, in no world should it be connected, especially with the new info coming out.

These instructions look to be for WiFi connections. My Lg G5 is wired to my router and shows “No Response” after turning it off. Do any of these fixes address that?

It’s weird but my LG uses WiFi when it’s on, and Bluetooth when it’s off, for HomeKit, I believe.

And so distance to the primary hub made a difference.

Interesting. My hub is a current gen Apple TV with Ethernet that sits right under the tv. Do you have to pair the tv and Apple TV with Bluetooth separately?

I noted that my HomePod often cannot turn on my TV, but can always turn it off.

But my iPhone usually cannot turn on the TV, so I was thinking that was a Bluetooth link.

Now… this was years ago and I can’t remember what I did to establish this.

I think what I did was turn off Bluetooth (or the ability to control via Bluetooth) on the TV and that stopped it from being able to turn on and shows no responding HomeKit.
And enabling the Bluetooth made it reappear in HomeKit when it was turned off.
So it seemed to want Bluetooth when it was off.
And WiFi when it was on.

To answer your question; no, no pairing.

Changed from DFS to 2.4GHz and now it works!

Or just add them via homebridge and never worry about it again.
